초등미술에서 시각문화교육의 방향

국문 초록

  초등학교 미술과 교육과정 개정안의 미적 체험 필수 학습요소로 시각문화 환경이 제시되었다. 이제 시각문화교육이 본격적으로 시작된 것이다. 그러나 아직 현장 교사들은 시각문화교육의 필요성 및 교육 방향에 대해 충분히 이해하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 초등미술에서 시각문화교육의 필요성과 교육과정에서 시각문화교육의 의의를 논의한 후 시각문화교육의 방향을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 시각문화교육은 교사들의 시각문화교육에 대한 이해와 실천 가능한 단위 수업의 개발 연구가 이루어져야 한다. 또한 시각문화 향유를 위한 비판력 함양이 이루어져야 하고 표현활동이 유기적으로 통합되어야 하며 사회, 문화적 의미 이해를 통해 미술교육의 지평이 확장되어야 한다.

영문 초록

  Visual culture art education is being environment as a mandatory part of aesthetic experience in the revised education curriculum for elementary school art. As a result, visual culture art education is officially starting as part of the elementary curriculum. However, instructors have not fully understand the necessity for visual culture art education and its educational directions. So, this research will first discuss the necessities for visual culture art education within elementary school art and its significance as part of the curriculum. Following this, the following educational directions have been proposed. First, research and development of unit classes must be developed by instructors to allow for an understanding and practice of visual culture art. In addition, a development of a critical sense must be conducted for genuine enjoyment of visual culture and such expressive activities must be integrated organically while the boundaries of art education must be expanded by placing it with more social and culture significance.
