泠齋 柳得恭 詩의 神韻風과 考證學的 傾向

국문 초록

  유득공의 초기의 시들에서는 청대 왕사정의 신운풍을 수용하여 신운풍을 추구한 작품들을 발견할 수 있다. 불교적 선미나 탈속적 초일의 경지를 표현하는 시상의 초탈성에 의해 유득공은 초기 시에서 신운풍의 시를 창작하였다. 이에 해당하는 작품으로는 〈수표교〉, 〈전가이수〉, 〈세모산중객〉 등이다. 회화적 이미지를 통한 시적 의미의 함축성 획득에 의해 신운풍의 시를 창작하기도 했는데 〈세모산중객〉 〈송경잡절〉, 〈서경잡절〉, 〈전가잡영오수〉 등이 대표적인 작품들이다.
  유득공의 시에는 고증학자로서의 학문적 성과를 시 속에 기술하려고 하는 특징이 있다. 자료를 수집하고 기록하는 것을 시 창작의 주요 목적으로 삼는 경향이 후기 시에 나타나는데 『이십일도회고시』, 『열하기행시주』, 〈요야거중잡영〉 등이 대표적인 예이다. 고증학적 내용을 시의 소재로 삼아 자신이 새로 발견한 학설을 시 속에 기술하고 시 속에서 이를 고증하는 내용의 시들이 있는데 〈신라진흥왕북순비〉, 〈제소정방유인원이비후위강산〉, 〈신라삼잔비〉, 〈영적성삼고사기현재무관〉 등이 대표적인 작품들이다. 이들 시는 금석문에 대한 유득공의 고증학적 성과를 시로써 표현한 것들이다.
  유득공의 시는 초기에 중시하던 신운풍의 표현미학으로부터 학문적 내용을 중시하는 후기의 고증학적 경향으로의 변모를 보여준다. 고증학적 경향의 시들을 다수 창작한 것은 유득공의 시 창작에 대한 새로운 인식의 소산으로 파악해야 할 것이다. 자신의 고증학적 학문의 성과를 시 속에 기술하려는 고증학적 경향의 시 창작은 유득공의 후기 시에 있어서의 특징으로 지적할 수 있다.

영문 초록

  Early poems of Deuk-Kong You was rooted in the style of narration rhythm glorifying God’s world, inspired by Sa-Jeong Wang during Ching Dynasty in China. Thereafter his poems have manifested theological narration style and ideas, which are free of life struggle desires and goals. In this theological rhythms, his poems expressed his innermost ideal territories through condensed languages and picturesque images. In writing historic critics, he condensed his main criticisms through grieving climax emotions rather than direct descriptions on the history. Particularly, his poems delicately deliver visual images so as to be called “having pictures in the poems”.
  Deuk-Kong You also accomplished enormous reputations as a scientific proof orientation scholar, who had been well recognized for writings on scientific philosophy, pursuing objectively proving theories and ideas. In his later poems, his scientific proof-orientation as a government officers are well reflected; he used Korean  history, geography, and community lives as themes for writing poems, in an effort for expressing his scientific beliefs and creeds though publicly understandable literal arts. After all, he proved his interesting scientific subjects by using those topics in his poems, and as a result became well recognized as a scientific proof orienting poet.
