기본교육과정 사회과 교수용 S/W의 멀티미디어 구성요소 제시양식 분석

국문 초록

  본 연구는 에듀넷 웹 사이트를 통해 제공되고 있는 특수학교 사회과의 교수용 S/W에 탑재된 자료들이 특수교육대상 아동들의 인지부하를 얼마나 최소화시켜 줄 수 있도록 설계되었는가를 파악하기 위한 것으로, 특수교육대상 아동에 효과적인 멀티미디어 학습자료 제시 유형을 경험적으로 연구하기에 앞서 이루어진 선행연구이다. 이를 위해 2007년 8월 1일 현재까지 에듀넷에 탑재돼 있는 기본교육과정 사회과 1단계 2단원, 2단계 44단원, 3단계 48단원 등 총 94단원, 721개 슬라이드를 분석하였다. 연구결과 초기 화면의 학습자료는 애니메이션과 텍스트를 각기 독립적인 형태로 제시하는 경우가 가장 많았고, 내용 전개시에는 처음 제시된 애니메이션에 새로운 내레이션과 텍스트가 추가되는 유형이 가장 많았다. 에듀넷 기본교육과정 사회과 교수자료를 Mayer의 멀티미디어 설계의 원칙과 비교해보면 공간적 접근의 원칙에만 충실할 뿐, 멀티미디어의 원칙, 시간적 접근의 원칙, 형식의 원리, 잉여의 원리, 개별화의 원리와는 거리가 있는 설계였다. 본 연구는 분류 기준 선정 방식에 따라 결과의 차이가 발생할 수 있다는 한계를 갖고 있기는 하지만, 특수교육대상 아동에게 효과적인 멀티미디어 학습자료 제시유형과 관련한 후속연구가 필요함을 제언하는 바이다.

영문 초록

  The purpose of this study is to analyze the edunet web site that present the teaching material and examine the design that was calculated to minimize the cognitive load with disabilities. This study is a preceding study for effective multimedia presentation style before empirical study, so have a significant contribution on special education. The edunet web site loaded 94units, 721sliders were(step 1-22units, step 2-44units, step 3-48units) on basic curriculum social subject until 2007 August 1st, and analyzed all teaching materials. Results of study were as follows; First, separated text from animation style was most frequent, narration and text were mixed but animation was separated style was next in initial pictures. Second, style of new narration and text were added to an existing animation was high frequency in the development of the contents. And next frequent mode was that text was added to an existing animation. Finally, the multimedia component presentation style on teaching material s/w in the basic curriculum social subject compared with Mayer"s cognitive principles of multimedia learning, spatial contiguity principle(Students learn better when on-screen text and visual materials are physically integrated rather than separated) was only applied principle. The outcomes of presentation styles in edunet were a far cry from what was stated at the Mayer"s theory(For instance, temporal contiguity principle, modality principle, self-reference principle and so on). Although this study have a limitation that the different consequences might be occurred by classification standard, recommend the succeeding investigation for effective presentation style with multimedia learning material.
