국문 초록

  본 연구의 목적은 교수적 지원을 통해 국어 수업시간에서의 특수학급 교사들의 PBL 적용이 장애 아동의 언어적 문제해결력 및 수업참여행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 서울시내 초등학교 특수학급에 입급된 장애 아동 50명과 이들을 담당하는 교사 12명(12개학급)으로 이 중 참여아동은 실험집단과 비교집단에 각 25명씩, 중재자인 교사는 각 6명씩 배치되었다. 실험집단에는 교수적 지원을 통한 PBL 교수가 이루어졌고, 비교집단에는 실험집단과 동일한 수업 주제가 제공되었으나 전통적인 수업방식으로 이루어졌다. 본 연구의 결과는 교수적 지원을 통한 특수학급 교사들의 PBL 적용에 참여한 실험집단의 장애 아동의 언어적 문제해결력 및 수업참여행동에 대한 점수의 변화정도는 비교집단 보다 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 이로써 본 연구에서 사용한 PBL의 교수방법과 절차가 특수교육현장에서의 적용 가능성이 있음을 중요한 의미로 해석할 수 있다.

영문 초록

  The purpose of this study was to increase the verbal problem-solving skills and academic engagement behaviors of children with disabilities through PBL applications by special education teachers with instructional consultation. Fifty children with disabilities and 12 special education teachers in public elementary schools participated in this study and were assigned into both experimental and comparative groups(25children each group). For the experimental group, PBL was applied to the children with disabilities in the Korean language classes with the instructional consultation for special education teachers. In terms of a comparative group, topics were the same with those of experimental group, but traditional teaching method without the instructional consultation were used unlike those of the experimental group. As a result of comparison of the two groups, this study revealed that the PBL application of special education teachers with instructional consultation was effective in increasing verbal problem solving skills and academic engagement behaviors of children with disabilities. This study strengthens the theory of PBL by proving its effects through developing and applying PBL to the special classroom of the elementary school.
