영문 초록

  This thesis aims at contemplating Jeonwoochijeon based on Han-thought, which is a unique Korean thought. All the Korean literary works can be analysed by Han-thought, for it is a peculiar and unique thought to Koreans. The present writer has already analysed the Korean works-Dangoon myth, Establishment myth of three countries, Woonhyo tale, Honggildongjeon by Han-thought.
  Jeonwoochijeon has three editions. The first of which is 37 pages-book known as the best edition. The second is Jeonwoochijeon owned by Shinmun-kwan. The third is Jeonwoochijeon owned by Na-son. The first and the second are compared on the aspect of Han-thought. The second is nearer to Han-thought than the first, because the first part of Shinmunkwan-book is described more reasonably than that of 37 pages-book. That is, Jeonwoonchij, the main character, obtains the magic thanks to a fox in 37 pages-book, while he gets it by training under the master in Shinmunkwan-book. The gap between two editions gets larger in the last part. He goes to Mt. Young-ju with Whadam to seek after super natural power in 37 pages-book, while he goes to Mt. Taebaek in Korea with Whadam to study the big truth and reason of Dangoonyanggeum, which becomes the basis of Han-thought. But two editions are not complete. These seem to be a failure in the respect of Han-thought.
  Nason-book Jeonwoochijeon is also examined by Han-thought. Nason-book is written completely in the 3-1 structure. 1 becomes 3, and 3 becomes 1 in this structure. Here 1 is God, and 3 is man.
  In Nason-book, the main character, Jeonwoochi is born as the God-comingdown being. His father is a beneficial being in real world, for he saves a lot of poor people by his own money and benefits people widely. Also his mother has a dream of conception, which is that a disciple of Ilkwangro who serves monk Samjang comes to her bosom. Like this, Jeonwoochi is the God-comingdown being.
  Next, Jeonwoochi becomes 1 united with heaven by finding godlikeness in himself. He endeavors to gain the magic under the great master. With an old monk"s help, he moves his ancestors" graves to the good place, and he obtained the magic that enables him to do everything. Owing to this he becomes the finding-God-in-himself being.
  Then, Jeonwoochi enlightens the world with reason, which is just Ruling the world with reason. He attacks the corrupt temples and incompetent governments. Then he makes the equal world of no discrimination. He who was born in a small country takes the high government position in China, a big country. Finally, he becomes the great man and makes the world of beneficial beings. Coming around the world to perish the cruel emperors and save people from troubles, he finds the ideal country of benevolent king, Yoncountry. He marries the princess of that country and becomes the king. He rules the world of beneficial-beings there.
  In this respect, Nason-book Jeonwoochijeon is not against the 3-1 principle. As God comes down to Jeonwoochi, he obtains the magic of God, and he rules the world with reason, and finally he makes the world of beneficial beings.
