대학생의 e-Book 이용 태도에 관한 연구

국문 초록

  본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 e-Book 이용에 대한 신념, 가치, 태도 등과 같은 주관성(Subjectivity) 구조 유형을 분류하고 각 유형별 특성을 규명하는데 있다. 본 연구는 인간의 주관성 구조 탐구에 유용한 Q 방법론을 적용하였다. 구체적으로 본 연구의 문제는 첫째, 대학생의 e-Book에 대한 평가, 태도, 가치, 취향 등 그 주관성의 유형(factor)과 특성은 무엇인가, 둘째, e-Book 이용자의 주관성 유형간의 차이점과 공통점은 무엇인가이다. 본 연구는 대학생의 e-Book 이용과 관련된 태도, 신념 등 가치체계로 구성된 진술문 36개의 Q 표본(Q-Sample)을 사용하였다. 본 연구는 성별이 적절하게 고려된 22명의 e-Book 이용자를 P표본으로 사용하였다. 본 연구는 2007년 3월 22일에서 27일까지 이루어졌다. 연구결과를 보면, 대학생의 e-Book 이용태도는 모두 4가지 타입으로 분류되었다. 즉“정보 추구형”(e-Book을 전문적이고 다양한 유형의 정보를 얻는 정보지향형),“오락 추구형”(e-Book 습관적으로 접근하는 유형으로, 이를 통하여 재미나 즐거움을 얻으며 스트레스를 해소하는 형),“실리 추구형”(e-Book을 휴식의 공간, 동시에 타인과의 교류의 매체로 활용하는 유형),“콘텐츠 중시형”(e-Book 콘텐츠의 다양성 및 신속성 등을 요구하는 비판적 활용자)다.

영문 초록

  The purpose of this study was double-folded: to investigate subjectivity structures of college students" e-Book utilizations and to characterize the features of each pattern. This study used Q methodology for the analyses. The central issues raised in this study included; what are the subjectivity factors related to college students" e-Book utilizations, and what are the differences and similarities among them, Data were collected from March 22 to 27, 2007 by Q sample made of 36 questions relevant to e-Book users" attitudes, beliefs, values. and orientations. P sample was composed of 22 male and female e-Book users. Analyses showed 4 types of subjectivity factors-"information-seeking type", "fun-seeking type", "utility-seeking type", and "content-seeking type". "Information-seeking type" was found among students who sought various types of informations through e-Books. "Fun-seeking type" was found among students who used e-Books as a part of their habitual activities while seeking fun or excitement. "Utility-seeking type" was found among students who wanted to build social interactions through e-Book utilizations while relaxing themselves. "Content-seeking type" was found among students who had personal desires to enjoy various contents and fastness of e-Books.
