영문 초록

  The primary purpose of this paper is to give an account of the diachronic change on the functional of prefinal-ending ‘-sap-’ of 15th century Korean. We are become known that the prefinal-ending ‘-sap-’ of 15th century Korean had been changed to the grammatical forms of politeness function on the hearer. And then we have been investigated minutely to the documentay records of 15-17th century Korean. And we are become known that the prefinal-ending ‘-sap-’ had been changed with two different grammatical functions on and after 17th century Korean. The first function of grammatical form ‘-sap-" of 15th century Korean is to represent the speaker"s respect on the object of the sentence. The second function of grammatical form ‘-sap-" of 15th century Korean is to represent the speaker’s politeness on speaker of the sentence.
  The grammatical form ‘-sap-" is not to act in concert with the first personal pronouns when the ‘-sap-" carry out speaker"s respect on the object of the sentence. But the grammatical form ‘-sap-" is to act in concert with humble word ‘jeo" of the first personal pronouns when the ‘-sap-" carry out speaker"s politeness on the hearer of the sentence. There are the allomorphs of prefinal-ending as ‘-sao-", ‘-euo-", ‘-saop-’, ‘-jao-’, ‘-jaop-’, ‘-jap-’, ‘-o-’, ‘-op-’, in 21th century Korean. These allomorphs of ‘-sap-’ is to act in concert with humble word ‘jeo’ of the first personal pronoun when carry out the speaker"s politeness on the hearer of the sentence.
  The grammatical form ‘-sap-’ of 15th century Korean had make changed two direct alternations diachronically. The one direct alternations is to change the final-ending ‘-seupnida’ that carry out speaker"s respect to the hearer of the sentence in 21th century Korean. The other direct alternations is to keep going it"s original function from 15-16th century Korean to 21th century Korean. The function of prefinal-ending ‘-sap-’ on hearer of the sentence in 21th century Korean is to carry out the speaker"s politeness. These function of prefinal-ending ‘-sap-’ is not new function that come into existence in 21th century Korean. These function of prefinal-ending ‘-sap-’ had been carried out in the documentary records of 15th century Korean. The prefinal-ending ‘-sap-’ of 15th century Korean had been carried out the speaker"s respect on the object of the sentence. These function of prefinal-ending ‘-sap-’ in 15th century Korean have been changed to speaker"s respect on the hearer of the sentence in 17th century Korean. But the function of the speaker"s politeness on the hearer of the sentence have been kept up from 15th century Korean to 21th century Korean.
