국문 초록

이 연구는 기존의 오프라인에서 실시하는 시기능 진단·평가 방법을 보완하고, 시각손상학생의 시기능에 관한 구체적인 정보를 수집·분석·활용하는 시각손상학생을 위한 웹기반 시기능 진단·평가 시스템을 설계하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 ‘교육 평가에서의 연결 체제, 웹기반 진단ㆍ평가의 이점, 시각손상학생의 컴퓨터 접근성, 보편적 학습 설계에서의 평가’라는 네가지 주제 하에 선행연구물들을 수집·분석하여 설계를 위한 함의를 도출하였으며, 이러한 함의를 중심으로 시스템 설계 지침을 설정하고, 지침에 따라 웹기반 시기능 진단·평가 시스템의 전체 시스템과 각 하위 시스템을 체계적이고 구체적으로 설계하였다. 웹기반 시기능 진단·평가 시스템의 설계에서는 ①자료 수집, 자료 분석, 의사결정, 중재의 연결 구조를 강조하였으며, ②시각손상학생의 다양한 시기능 특성과 다양한 컴퓨터 접근 방법을 고려하여 자료 수집이 이루어질 수 있도록 고려하였으며, ③교육 실제에서의 활용도를 높이기 위해 중재와 연결되는 자료분석 방법을 구안하였으며, ④시스템에서 얻은 정보를 연구공동체에서 활용할 수 있도록 고려하였다. 설계한 웹기반 시기능 진단·평가 시스템이 개발·적용됨으로써 얻을 수 있는 효과를 논의하였으며, 이러한 효과를 실현하기 위해 필요한 후속 연구들을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop the Web-Based Visual Functioning Diagnostic Assessment System(WB-VFDAS) for individuals with visual impairments. WB-VFDAS was intended to be used on-line to increase the accessibility and procedural convenience not only for the professionals in the field of visual impairments but by the teachers of students with visual impairments and low vision. WB-VFDAS is designed to assess the visual efficiency and to collect specific information on the use of functional vision within specific environments. In order to construct the WB-VFDAS, extensive literature review had been conducted under 4 related themes; 1) connecting system in the educational assessment, 2) benefits of web-based assessment system, 3) computer accessibility of individuals with visual impairments, and 4) assessment in universal design for learning. Then the WB-VFDAS was systematically designed to collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative information on visual efficiency and functional vision. Distinctive characteristics of WB-VFDAS are as follows; 1) connecting structure that combines data collection, data analysis, decision-making, and intervention, 2) data collection procedure that incorporates diverse functional needs of individuals with visual impairments, such as visual efficiency, functional vision, and the computer-access methods, 3) data analysis that guides the appropriate intervention for educational practice, and 4) the accumulated data that is to be used for further research. In conclusion, this study discusses the effects of WB-VFDAS's implications and suggests further research to actively implement the WB-VFDAS in the field.
