국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 우정 기반 자기가치감과 SNS중독경향성 간의 관계에서 소외에 대한 두려움과 SNS자기표현(긍정적 자기표현, 솔직한 자기표현)의 매개효과 및 이중매개효과를 살펴보는 것이다. 연구방법: 본 연구의 대상은 중학교 1~3학년 총 413명(남학생 207명, 여학생 206명)이며, 우정 기반 자기가치감, 소외에 대한 두려움, SNS자기표현, SNS중독경향성을 측정하기 위해 자기 보고식 응답을 사용하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS Statistics 27.0 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석, Cronbach’s α 신뢰도 검증, Pearson 상관분석을 실시하였고, SPSS PROCESS macro 4.2 프로그램의 PROCESS macro model 6번을 사용하여 매개효과 및 이중매개효과를 확인하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 청소년의 SNS중독경향성은 우정 기반 자기가치감, 소외에 대한 두려움과 긍정적 자기표현, 솔직한 자기표현과 정적상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 우정 기반 자기가치감과 SNS중독경향성 간의 관계에서 소외에 대한 두려움 및 긍정적 자기표현 각각의 매개효과 및 이중매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 청소년의 우정 기반 자기가치감과 SNS중독경향성 간의 관계에서 솔직한 자기표현의 매개효과 및 소외에 대한 두려움과 솔직한 자기표현의 이중매개효과가 유의미하게 나타나지 않았다. 결론: 본 연구는 높은 우정 기반 자기가치감으로 인해 SNS중독경향성 문제를 보이는 청소년에 대해 소외에 대한 두려움 및 긍정적 자기표현의 감소를 위한 개입이 이루어져야 함을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objective: The study examined the mediating and double mediating effects of fear of missing out and social networking sites (SNS) self-expression (positive self-expression and honest self-expression) on the relationship between adolescents’ friendship contingent self-esteem and SNS addiction tendency. Methods: The participants in this study were a total of 413 students (207 male and 206 female) in the first to third years of middle school. Each variable was self-reported using instruments measuring friendship contingent self-esteem, fear of missing out, SNS self-expression, and SNS addiction tendency. For data analysis, frequency analysis, Frequency, Cronbach’s α reliability, and Pearson correlation analyses were performed using the SPSS Statistics 27.0 program, and the mediating effect and the double mediating effect were confirmed using the PROCESS macro model 6 of the SPSS PROCESS macro 4.2 program. Results: Adolescents’ SNS addiction tendencies were positively correlated with friendship contingent self-esteem, fear of missing out and positive self-expression, and honest self-expression. Second, in the relationship between adolescents’ friendship contingent self-esteem and SNS addiction tendency, mediating and double mediating effects of fear of missing out and positive self-expression were found. Third, in the relationship between friendship contingent self-esteem and SNS addiction tendencies, the mediating effect of honest self-expression and the double mediating effect of fear of missing out and honest self-expression were not significant. Conclusions: This study emphasizes that adolescents with SNS addiction tendencies due to high friendship contingent self-esteem should be encouraged to reduce their fear of missing out and positive self-expression.
