보육교사의 근골격계 질환 실태 및 교육적 지원 요구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 보육교사의 근골격계 질환 실태와 이를 예방 및 관리하기 위한 교육적 지원 요구를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기 지역에서 근무하는 보육교사 217명을 대상으로 설문조사하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 보육교사는 근골격계 통증으로 불편감을 느끼며 ‘허리’ 통증을 가장 많이 겪고 있었다. 보육교사는 통증이 ‘1일-1주일 미만’으로 지속되며, 중간 정도의 통증을 2-3개월에 한 번씩 경험하는데, 이 때 병원치료를 받는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사는 업무 중 허리 굽히기와 무릎 꿇기가 근골격계 통증을 유발하는 것으로 인식하였다. 보육교사는 신체건강관리에 대해 관심은 있지만 스트레칭이나 운동은 하지 않았고 정보 부족으로 근골격계 질환 교육을 받아보지 못했다고 하였다. 셋째, 근골격계 질환의 예방 및 관리를 위한 교육이 마련될 것을 요구하였다. 마지막으로 보육교사는 근골격계 질환 예방 및 관리 교육이 접근하기 쉬우며 운동 중심으로 이루어지기를 기대하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 보육교사의 근골격계 질환의 예방 및 관리 교육에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the current status of musculoskeletal disorders among childcare teachers and identify their educational needs for prevention and management. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 217 childcare teachers working in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The findings revealed several key points. Firstly, childcare teachers frequently experienced discomfort and musculoskeletal pain, particularly in their ‘backs’. The duration of pain varied; it persisted for “less than one day to one week”, and moderate pain once every 2-3 months, at which time hospital treatment was required. Second, childcare teachers respondents attributed their musculoskeletal pain to bending and kneeling. It was found that despite childcare teachers’ interest in physical health management, they reported a lack of engagement in stretching or exercise and an absence of education on musculoskeletal disorders due to insufficient information. Third, the participants requested a clear need for education regarding musculoskeletal disorders. Lastly, childcare teachers expected that education on musculoskeletal disorders would be easy to access and would be conducted as exercise. Based on these research results, implications for education on the prevention and management of musculoskeletal disorders for childcare teachers were discussed.
