국문 초록

본 연구는 재난심리회복지원센터 상담가의 이차적 외상스트레스 회복경험을 다각도로 탐색하고 상담가의 정신건강 안전을 관리할 수 있는 방안을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 혼합연구방법의 순차적 설명 설계를 활용하였다. 연구결과 양적연구의 설문조사에서는 재난상담가들의 이차적 외상스트레스 정도는 비교적 낮고, 회복 역시 잘 이루어진 것으로 조사되었다. 더불어 재난상담가의 이차적 외상스트레스를 회복하는 과정에서 직무자원의 소명감과 전문성 개발 기회가 도움이 되는 것으로 분석되었다. 이후 이차적 외상스트레스가 비교적 높은 집단과 낮은 집단을 구분하였고, 각 집단에 속하는 재난상담가를 대상으로 개별 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 그 결과 재난상담가 개인적 외상 경험과 재난 상황의 심각성에 따라 이차적 외상스트레스 정도의 차이가 있는 것으로 해석되었다. 더불어 재난상담가를 대상으로 하는 이차적 외상스트레스 회복 지원 체계가 부재함에 따라 재난상담가들은 스스로 이차적 외상스트레스 회복을 위해 전문적 또는 일상적 노력을 시도하였다. 하지만 개인 차원에서 회복은 한계가 있음에 따라, 본 연구는 상담가의 정신건강이 건강하게 유지될 수 있도록 재난상담가를 위한 이차적 외상스트레스 증상 존재 여부 확인 시스템과 상담 및 슈퍼비전 체계의 마련을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study used a sequential explanation design with mixed research methods to explore the recovery experience of counselors at the Disaster Psychological Recovery Support Center who have been exposed to secondary trauma stress. As a result of the study, in a survey of quantitative studies, the degree of secondary trauma stress of disaster counselors was relatively low, and recovery was also well achieved. In addition, it was analyzed that in the process of recovering secondary trauma stress of disaster counselors, opportunities to develop job resources and expertise were helpful. Since then, the researchers classified the counselors into groups with high and low levels of secondary trauma stress and conducted individual in-depth interviews with counselors from each group. The findings suggested that the degree of secondary trauma stress varied depending on the counselors' personal trauma experiences and the severity of the disaster situations they encountered. Additionally, due to the absence of a secondary trauma stress recovery support system specifically designed for disaster counselors, the counselors made efforts on their own to recover from secondary trauma stress through professional and daily endeavors. However, as recovery is limited at the individual level, this study suggested the establishment of a secondary trauma stress symptom check system, counseling, and supervision system for disaster counselors to keep the counselor's mental health healthy.
