‘음악 개념에 기초한 유아음악교육’ 수업에 대한 사전지식 수준별 집단의 효과 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 ‘음악 개념에 기초한 유아음악교육’ 수업의 효과가 음악 개념에 대한 사전지식 수준에 따라 집단별로 어떻게 나타나는지 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 수도권 소재 4년제 대학에서 ‘유아음악교육’을 수강한 예비유아교사 97명이었고, ‘예비유아교사의 음악 개념 이해 측정 도구’를 활용하여 음악 개념 이해 수준을 진단하였다. 수업을 실행하기 전 사전검사를 실시하였고, 15주 동안 수업을 실행한 후, 사전검사와 동일한 도구로 사후검사를 실시하였다. 자료분석을 위하여 사전검사 결과를 기준으로 정답 문항 수에 따라 상, 중, 하집단을 구성하였고, OxEdit 9.04를 활용하여 음악 개념에 대한 집단별 숙달 수준을 확인하였으며, 사전, 사후검사에서의 숙달 확률 차이에 대한 통계적 유의성을 확인하기 위하여 대응표본 t검정을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 상, 중, 하집단 모두에서 사전검사와 사후검사의 숙달 확률이 변화하였으나 통계적으로 유의한 변화는 일부 개념에서만 나타났고, 집단에 따라 변화가 상이하였다. 사전검사와 사후검사의 숙달 수준을 비교한 결과, 상집단은 사전검사와 사후검사 모두에서 8개 음악 개념을 숙달하고 있었고, 중집단은 사전검사에서 4개 개념을 숙달하지 못하였으나 사후검사에서는 8개 개념 모두 숙달한 것으로 나타났다. 하집단은 사전검사에서 모든 개념을 숙달하지 못한 상태였으나 사후검사에서는 2개 개념만을 숙달한 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과는 본 연구에서 실행한 수업의 효과가 집단별로 차이가 있음을 의미하며, 교육의 효과를 높이기 위해서는 학생들의 사전지식 수준을 정확하게 진단한 결과를 토대로 집단을 분류하고, 교육이 요구되는 내용을 파악하여 그에 맞는 교육을 실행할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the effects of “Music Education for Young Children Based on Musical Concepts” vary with each group according to their level of prior knowledge of musical concepts. The subjects of this study were 97 preservice early childhood teachers who were trained in “Music Education for Young Children” from a four-year university located in the metropolitan area. To measure the level of pre-service early childhood teachers' understanding of musical concepts, the “The Test for Preservice Early Childhood Teachers” was used. In order to analyze the data received from the test results, the average and standard deviations were calculated by classifying preservice early childhood teachers groups according to the number of correct answers and the knowledge level of the groups on the music concepts. This procedure was confirmed with OxEdit 9.04 and the paired sample t-test was conducted to verify the statistical significance of the difference in mastery probabilities from the findings of the pre-test and post-test. The study showed that the approximate values of the knowledge-level found from the pre-test and post-test were changed in all of the upper, middle, and lower groups, but statistically significant changes were found only in some music concepts, and that change was not uniform among the groups. After comparing the mastery probabilities of the datasets received from pre-test and the post-test, the upper group was found to have mastered eight musical concepts in both the pre-test and the post-test, and the middle group mastered four concepts in the pre-test but mastered all eight concepts in the post-test. The lower group did not master all the concepts in the pre-test, but in the post-test, they mastered two concepts. This result shows that the effect of the music class implemented in this study is different for each group. To increase the effectivity of education, the study suggests that accurately understanding of each student’s prior knowledge-level and improvement areas along with the application of student-specific education are necessary.
