국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 평생교육사가 인식하는 전문직업적 정체성을 심층적으로 탐구하고, 전문직업적 정체성에 기인하는 요소와 전문직업적 정체성에 따른 평생교육사 유형의 집단별 특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 델파이 조사와 Q분류를 활용하였다. 14명의 평생교육사가 참여한 델파이 조사에서 40개의 진술문을 범주화하여 5개의 기인요소를 도출하였다. 확정된 진술문을 Q표본으로 66명의 평생교육사가 웹기반 Q분류에 참여하였다. 주성분 분석을 통해 전문직업적 정체성에 대한 5개의 유형을 도출하였다. 연구결과: 평생교육사의 전문직업적 정체성에 기인하는 요소는 ‘학습자우선’, ‘지역사회연계’, ‘전문성’, ‘네트워크’, ‘제도’ 이며, 평생교육사가 인식하는 전문직업적 정체성 유형은 ‘전문직행정가형’, ‘지역리더형’, ‘제도변화촉진자형’, ‘정체성탐구자형’, ‘학습자강조자형’으로 명명하였다. 결론 및 논의: 본 연구를 통해 평생교육사의 전문직업적 정체성에 기인하는 요소와 평생교육사가 형성하고 있는 전문직업적 정체성의 특성을 유형에 따라 심층적으로 이해할 수 있었으며, 이를 고려한 차별화된 지원방안을 제시함으로써 평생교육사의 전문성 개발을 위한 실제적 시사점을 도출하게 되었다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aims to explore in-depth the professional identity perceived by lifelong educators, analyze the factors underlying professional identity, and examine the characteristics of different groups of lifelong educators based on their professional identity. Method: To achieve the research purpose, a Delphi survey and Q-sort technique were employed. Through the Delphi survey with the participation of 14 lifelong educators, 40 statements were categorized, resulting in five underlying factors. The finalized statements were used as Q-samples, and 66 lifelong educators participated in a web-based Q-sort classification. Principal component analysis was conducted to identify five types of professional identity. Results: The factors underlying the professional identity of lifelong educators were identified as ‘learner-centeredness’, ‘community engagement’, ‘expertise’, ‘networks’, and ‘systems’. The types of professional identity perceived by lifelong educators were named as ‘professional-administrator type’, ‘community leader type’, ‘catalyst for institutional change type’, ‘identity explorer type’, and ‘learner advocate type’. Conclusion: Through this study, a deep understanding of the factors underlying the professional identity of lifelong educators and the characteristics of their professional identity based on different types was achieved. By providing differentiated support considering these findings, practical implications for the development of lifelong educators' professionalism were derived.
