스토리텔링을 통한 유아 안전교육활동이 안전문제해결능력과 언어표현력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 스토리텔링을 통한 유아 안전교육활동이 안전문제해결능력과 언어표현력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 G시에 소재한 S유치원의 실험집단 만 5세, 유아23명(남 11명, 여 11명)과 비교집단 만 5세, 유아23명(남 11명, 여 11명)으로 구성하였다. 두 집단은 유치원 자체적으로 계획한 연간 안전교육활동 중 교육부의 학교안전 7대 표준안내용을 선정하여 실험집단은 스토리텔링을 통한 안전교육활동으로 진행하였으며 비교집단은 평소 진행하던 일반적인 안전교육활동으로 진행하였다. 스토리텔링을 통한 유아 안전교육활동의 교육적 효과를 검증하기 위하여 안전문제해결능력과 언어표현력 검사를 실시하였고, 부가적으로 참여관찰을 하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 스토리텔링을 통한 유아 안전교육활동이 안전문제해결능력과 언어표현력에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 스토리텔링을 통한 유아 안전교육활동이 유아교육현장에서 유아의 안전문제해결능력과 언어표현력을 교육적 가치를 향상시키는 교수․학습방법으로 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of safety education activities through storytelling on children’s ability to solve safety problems and express language. The subjects of this study were 23 5-year-old children (11 boys, 11 girls) in S kindergarten located in G city and 23 5-year-old children (11 boys, 11 girls) in the comparative group. The two groups selected 7 standard contents of school safety of the Ministry of Education among the annual safety education activities planned by the kindergarten itself. The experimental group conducted safety education activities through storytelling, and the comparison group conducted safety education activities based on the Ministry of Education and Nuri curriculum. To verify the educational effects of safety education activities for young children through storytelling, safety problem solving and language expression tests were conducted. As a result, it was found that the safety education activities of young children through storytelling had a positive effect on the safety problem solving ability and language expression ability of young children. These results suggest that the safety education activities of young children through storytelling can be used as a teaching and learning method to improve the educational value of young children’s safety problem solving ability and language expression ability in the field of early childhood education.
