국문 초록

본 연구는 교육이념으로서의 홍익인간 사상을 포스트휴먼의 관점에서 재해석하여 민주시민의 의미를 탐색해보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 단군신화를 바탕으로 홍익인간 사상을 해석하고 포스트휴먼 시대의 인간의 모습을 살피고자 하였다. 단군신화는 일원론적인 세계관을 바탕으로 타자와 공존하며 변화하는 인간의 모습을 그리고 있다. 따라서 홍익인간은 전체론적인 세계관을 바탕으로 인간이 아닌 모든 존재를 이롭게 하는 상생, 공존의 공동체를 추구하는 이념이다. 이는 이질적인 존재에 대한 사랑과 개방성을 가진 인간, 관계적인 차원에서 자신의 존재를 인식하는 인간의 모습을 추구한다. 즉 인간을 혼종적인 존재로서 정의함으로써 윤리적 주체성을 찾아가고자 하는 포스트휴먼 시대 인간의 모습과 유사하다. 따라서 홍익인간 이념은 포스트휴먼 시대의 교육이념으로써 재해석될 수 있다. 이에 따라 현재 유아교육과정의 인간상으로 제시된 민주시민의 의미를 비판적으로 탐색해보고, 홍익인간 이념에 따라 시민의 미덕을 제언해 보았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of citizenship by reinterpreting Hongik Ingan ideas - generally translated as “to help all humankind” - as an educational ideology from the perspective of Posthumans. To this end, we interpreted Hongik human thought based on Dangun mythology and explored the human form in the posthumanism. To this end, we interpreted Hongik Ingan thought based on dangun mythology, and explored the human form in the posthuman era. The Dangun myth depicts a changing human being coexisting with others based on a – holistic world view. Thus, Hongik Ingan is an ideology that benefits all non-human beings as well, and seeks a community that co-exists with others based on a holistic world view. It seeks to be a human being with love and openness for heterogeneous beings and a human being who recognizes his or her existence on a relational level. This is a human form in the posthuman era that seeks to create an ethical identity by defining humans as hybrid beings. Thus, Hongik Ingan ideas can be reinterpreted as an educational concept in the posthuman era. Therefore, I critically explored the meaning of democratic citizenship as presented in current early childhood education curricula, and explored the virtues of citizenship according to Hongik Ingan ideas.
