결혼이주여성의 학습생애사 연구

국문 초록

집 떠난 여성들의 이야기를 듣는다는 것은 그들의 관점에서 그들의 삶을 재구성한다는 것이며 성인학습자로서 그들의 주체성을 인정한다는 의미이다. 따라서 행위주체자로서의 이주여성이 자신들의 삶과 학습경험을 어떻게 이해하고 해석하는지에 주목해야 할 필요가 있다. 이 연구는 결혼이주여성이 이주를 둘러싼 사회적 제약과 구조 속에서 학습을 자원으로 어떻게 주체적으로 성장해 나가는지를 밝혀 향후 다문화교육과 이주민 지원의 기초적인 자료로 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대조적인 생애과정을 보여주는 중국 결혼이주여성 두 사례를 선정하여 그들의 학습생애를 탐구하였다. 생애사 연구방법과 Schütze의 내러티브 분석단계를 활용한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 두 사례는 각 각 노동이주에서 결혼이주로, 유학에서 결혼이주라는 복합적인 이주과정을 경험하였지만 혼란 속에서도 적극적인 제도편입을 통하여 문화적 차이를 극복하려 하였다. 또한 자신의 삶을 주체적으로 계획하며 추진해 나가는 생애사적 행동모델을 보여주었다. 이러한 성장과 변화는 일터와 학습공동체 속에서 무형식적으로 이루어지는 문화적 학습을 통해 가능하였음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Listening to the stories of women who left home is to reorganize their lives from their standpoint and means the acknowledgement of their identity as adult learners. Therefore, it’s necessary to pay attention to the method migrant women understand and interpret their lives and learning experiences as behaviors. This researcher intended to examine how marriage migrant women subjectively grow with a resource of learning under social constraints and structure around the migration and provide it as basic data of multi-cultural education and migrant support in the future. For it, this researcher selected two cases of Chinese migrant women who show contrastive life course and explored their lifetime. The results of the study using the method to study on life stories and Schütze’s narrative analysis stage are as follows. In two cases, those women respectively experienced complex migration from labor migration to marriage migration and from studying abroad to marriage migration, but intended to overcome cultural differences by active introduction of system in spite of confusion. In addition, they showed a behavioral model of life stories that subjectively plan and promote their lives. This researcher realized that they could grow and change through formless cultural learning in workplace and studying community.
