국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구에서는 부산교육종단연구(BELS) 중1 패널 데이터를 활용하여 중학생의 학업적 자기효능감과 진로성숙도 및 학교적응의 변화추이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 그리고 다변량 잠재성장모형 분석을 통하여 학업적 자기효능감, 진로성숙도, 학교적응의 종단적인 관계를 검증하고 이 구조적 관계에서 진로성숙도의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 연구데이터는 부산교육종단연구(BELS) 중1 패널로 부산시 소재 중학교 50개교에 1학년 재학생 2,812명의 1차년도(2016년)~3차년도(2018년) 자료이다. 연구변인 간 관계의 초기상태 및 변화율에 영향을 검증하기 위해 다변량 잠재성장모형을 적용하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 중학생의 학업적 자기효능감과 진로성숙도, 학교적응은 모두 시간의 흐름에 따라 변하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학업적 자기효능감과 진로성숙도, 학교적응 간 종단적 경로에서 학업적 자기효능감은 진로성숙도와 학교적응의 초기치, 즉 중1에서 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 진로성숙도와 학교적응의 관계는 초기치에서 초기치, 변화율에서 변화율과 같이 동일한 잠재요인에서 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 하지만 학업적 자기효능감의 초기치에서 진로성숙도의 변화율에 미치는 상이한 잠재요인의 경로는 부적 영향을 미쳤으며, 다른 변인의 초기치에서 변화율에 미치는 경로는 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 학업적 자기효능감과 학교적응 간 관계에서 진로성숙도의 종단적 매개효과를 검증하였다. 진로성숙도의 초기치는 학업적 효능감의 초기치가 학교적응의 초기치로 이어지는 경로를 부분매개하였으며, 진로성숙도의 변화율은 학업적 자기효능감의 변화율이 학교적응의 변화율로 이어지는 경로를 부분매개하였다. 논의 및 결론: 이러한 연구결과는 중학교 입학 시기에 학업적 자기효능감이 높다면 학습뿐만 아니라 다양한 행동들을 성공적으로 수행할 자기확신과 자기이해를 바탕으로 본인의 진로를 구체적으로 탐색하고 목표를 이루기 위해 실천으로 옮길 것이고, 이는 곧 학교생활에 적응해 나가게 하는 원동력이 된다는 사실을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the changes in academic self-efficacy, career maturity and school adjustment of middle school students by using panel data of Busan Educational Longitudial Study, and through multivariate latent growth model analysis, to verify the longitudinal relationship of academic self-efficacy, career maturity, and school adjustment, and the mediating effect of career maturity in this structural relationship. Method: The data of this study included the first year(2016) to third year(2018) of 2,812 first graders in 50 middle schools in Busan. A multivariate latent growth model was applied to verify the effect of the initial state and rate of change of the relationship between the research variables. Results: The results of this study were as follows: First, the academic self-efficacy, career maturity, and school adjustment of middle school students all was changed with time. Second, in the longitudinal path among academic self-efficacy, career maturity, and school adjustment, academic self-efficacy had a positive effect on the initial value of career maturity and school adjustment, and the relationship between career maturity and school adjustment had a positive effect on the same latent factors as the initial value and the rate of change. However, the path of different latent factors affecting the change rate of career maturity in the initial value of academic self-efficacy had a negative effect, and the path to change rate in the initial value of other variables was not significant. Third, the longitudinal mediating effect of career maturity was verified in the relationship between academic self-efficacy and school adjustment. The initial value of career maturity mediated the path that the initial value of academic efficacy led to the initial value of school adaptation, and the rate of change in career maturity mediated the path that the rate of change in academic self-efficacy led to the rate of change in school adaptation. Conclusion: These results suggested that if academic self-efficacy is high at the time of admission to middle school, it will be carried out to explore their career specifically and to achieve career related goals based on self-confidence and self-understanding that will perform various behaviors successfully as well as learning, the driving force for adapting to school life.
