상상력을 활용한 교육활동에서 드러나는 유아들의 학습경험에 관한 연구

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 상상력을 활용한 교육활동에서 드러나는 유아들의 학습경험을 알아보기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 연구방법: 연구 참여자는 K시 P유아교육기관의 만4세 3학급 교사 3인과 유아 63명이었다. 연구자와 교사가 함께 구상한 상상력을 활용한 교육활동을 약 6개월간 실시하였고, 참여관찰과 수업협의회, 교사면담 등을 통해 수집한 자료를 바탕으로 질적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과: 유아들의 학습경험은 ‘생생한 감각이 깨어나면서 지식의 의미 내면화하기’, ‘감성적 관계가 깊어지면서 인성 발현하기’, ‘대상에 깊이 몰입하면서 적극적으로 탐구하기’, ‘차이를 생성하면서 창조적으로 변형하기’로 범주화 되었다. 논의 및 결론: 유아의 상상력을 활용한 교육활동은 학습자의 풍요로운 감성과 아름다운 인성에 기반 한 교육의 가능성을 안내함과 동시에 논리적인 교과를 학습자의 심리수준으로 전환하면서 교수-학습의 경직성을 극복할 수 있는 전략이 될 것으로 본다. 그리고 새로운 해석과 적극적인 사유가 발생되는 생동감 넘치는 학습경험의 가능성을 열면서 동일성이 재현되는 상투적인 지식교육의 한계점을 개선할 수 있는 새로운 가능성을 제안할 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study was conducted to observe the learning experiences of young children in educational activities utilizing the imagination. Method: Research participants were 63 young children and 3 age 4 class 3 teachers from the P early childhood education institute of K city. Educational activities utilizing the imagination as composed together with the researcher and teachers were implemented for 6 months and they were analyzed qualitatively based on data collected through participative observation, class councils, and teacher interviews. Results: Research results showed that the learning experiences of young children were categorized into ‘the internalization of the meaning of knowledge with the awakening of lively senses’, ‘the discovery of character with the deepening of emotional relationships’, ‘active exploration with a deep immersion into subjects’, and ‘creative change with the creation of change’. Conclusion: Therefore, educational activities utilizing the imagination of young children showed possibilities for education based on the rich emotions and beautiful characters of learners while simultaneously changing logical subjects to suit the psychological levels of learners and they will serve as strategies that can overcome the rigidity of teaching and learning. Also, they open up possibilities regarding lively learning experiences in which new interpretations and active grounds occur and they will propose new possibilities that can improve the limitations of conventional knowledge education in which identity is reproduced.
