유아교사의 교사효능감과 교수몰입도에 따른 유아의 누리과정 영역별 성취

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 교사효능감과 교수몰입도 수준에 따라 유아의 누리과정 영역별 성취수준을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 전북지역 J, I, K시에 소재한 유아교육기관 만 5세 담당 교사 249명을 대상으로 교사효능감과 교수몰입도 척도를 실시하였다. 교사효능감 분포 중 상집단 10%(약 25명)와 하집단 10%(약 25명)의 교사 중 학력과 경력의 동질성을 고려하여 상집단 교사 3명과 유아 71명, 하집단 교사 3명과 유아 75명을 표집 하였다. 같은 방법으로 교수몰입도 분포 중 상집단 교사 3명과 유아 70명, 하집단 교사 3명과 유아 69명을 표집하여 연구대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 통계프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사효능감 수준이 높은 교사의 유아가 낮은 교사의 유아에 비해 누리과정 영역별 성취수준이 전체적으로 높았으며, 특히 자연탐구 영역에서 가장 차이가 컸으며, 의사소통 영역에서는 상대적으로 차이가 적었다. 둘째, 교수몰입도 수준이 높은 교사의 유아가 낮은 교사 유아에 비해 누리과정 영역별 성취수준이 전체적으로 높았으며, 특히 사회관계 영역에서 가장 차이가 컸으며, 예술경험 영역에서는 상대적으로 차이가 적었다. 이러한 결과는 유아의 누리과정 영역별 성취수준을 촉진하기 위해 유아교사의 교사효능감과 교수몰입도를 증진시킬 수 있는 지원 방안이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the achievement according of the cognitive process of infants depending on the level of efficacy and instructional commitment of early childhood teachers. For this study, we conducted the measurement of teacher efficacy and instructional commitment scale for 249 teachers of 5-year-old children in elementary schools in J, I, K of Jeonlabuk-do province. From the distribution of the teachers efficacy, we sampled 3 teachers and their 71 students among the top 10% (about 25 teachers) of the distribution and another 3 teachers and their 75 students among the lower 10% (about 25 teachers) of the distribution, also considering the educational background and teaching experience. Again for the teaching commitment distribution, we sampled 3 teachers and their 70 students among the top 10% of the distribution and another 3 teachers and their 69 students among the lower 10% of the distribution using the same method. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 statistical program. The results of this study were as follows. First, children from teachers with a high level of teacher s efficacy showed an overall higher level of the achievement process than other children from teachers with lower teacher s efficacy level. Especially, they showed the greatest difference in natural inquiry domain and relatively few in the communication domain. Second, children from the teachers with the high level of commitment showed a generally higher level of achievement than the other children from the teacher with a lower level of commitment, especially in the social relation area and less in the art experience area. These results suggested that a supportive plan for enhancing the teacher efficacy and teaching commitment level of early childhood teachers was needed to promote the achievement of children.
