예비교사의 장애 및 통합교육 인식 변화를 위한 ‘문제중심학습(PBL)’ 적용 효과 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 특수교육학 교과목에 문제중심학습(PBL)을 적용했을 때 예비교사들이 어떤 교육적 경험을 하는지 탐색해보고, 장애 및 통합교육에 대한 인식 변화가 있는지 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 연구대상은 교직과목으로 특수교육학 수업을 수강한 예비교사 42명이다. 특수교육학 수업은 강의식 수업과 문제중심학습 방식을 혼합하여 실시하였고, 문제중심학습 수업은 6주간 진행되었다. PBL수업 이전 개방형 질문을 통해 예비교사들의 장애에 대한 인식을 알아보았고, PBL에 대한 문제분석지, 조별활동일지, 성찰일기, 조별평가지를 토대로 반복비교법, 삼각측정법을 통해 질적분석하였다. 장애인식과 통합교육 인식의 양적변화를 분석하기 위한 설문을 6주 간격으로 3차례 실시한 후, 집단 간 차이검증(t-test)을 하였고, 반복측정 분산분석(Repeated Measures ANOVA : RM-ANOVA)을 통해 인식의 변화추이를 살펴보았다. 질적분석 결과 PBL 수업이후 교육적 경험은 장애에 대한 일반적 인식, 장애인에 대한 태도, 교사 효능감, 교사의 태도, 교사역량이라는 5개 범주와 13개 주제로 분류되었다. 첫째, 장애에 대한 일반적 인식에서 편견감소 , 유대감, 긍정적인 인식으로의 변화를 나타내었다 둘째, 장애인에 대한 태도에서 열린 마음, 먼저 다가감, 적극 도움이 확인되었다. 셋째, 교사효능감에서는 특수학생지도, 통합학급 운영, 교사직무에서의 효능감을 보고하였다. 넷째, 교사의 태도에서 공감적 태도, 장애인식 개선을 위한 노력이 나타났다. 다섯째, 교사역량의 측면에서는 특수교육 관련 지식 획득, 통합교육의 필요성을 깨달음이 확인되었다. 장애인식과 통합교육에 대한 양적 변화를 분석 한 결과 둘 다 유의미한 변화가 나타났다. 본 연구는 예비교사들의 장애인식 개선 및 통합교육을 위한 역량강화를 위한 문제중심학습 수업 모델을 제시함으로써 향후 후속 수업적용과 연구를 기대하게 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is designed to apply the model of the problem-based learning in the class of Special Education and then analyze the experiences that its preservice teacher felt and to see if there is a change in perceptions of disability and integrated education. The participants in this research are 42 undergraduates. The class of Special Education was conducted with blended learning using lecture and PBL and two PBL problems were conducted for 6 weeks. Prior to the PBL class, open-ended questionnaire was used to assess the pre-service teachers perception of the disability, and qualitative analysis was conducted through the PBL problem analysis, group activity log, reflection diary. In order to analyze the quantitative change of disability awareness and integrated education perception, the questionnaire was conducted three times at intervals of 6 weeks, followed by t-test and Repeated Measures ANOVA (RM-ANOVA). As a result of the qualitative analysis, the educational experience after PBL class was divided into 5 categories: general recognition of disability, attitude toward the disabled, teacher efficacy, teacher s attitude, teacher competence and 13 themes. First, the general perception of disability showed a change in prejudice reduction, bonding, and positive perception. Second, Attitudes towards disabled people showed Open mind, approach and active help. Third, in teacher efficacy, they reported on special student guidance, integrated class operation, and efficacy in teacher job. Fourth, teachers attitude showed empathic attitude and efforts to improve disability recognition. Fifth, in terms of teacher competence, it was confirmed that the acquisition of knowledge related to special education and the need for integrated education were realized. The analysis of the quantitative changes in the perception of disability and the perception of integrated education showed a significant change in both. This study presented the problem - based learning (PBL) instruction model for enhancing the educational capacity of the pre - service teachers, and suggested a methodological development direction of the teacher education class in the future.
