여대생의 학교에서 직업세계로의 이행 준비 실태와 성과분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학 졸업 후 사회에 진입한 여대생을 대상으로, 이들이 재학기간중 직업세계로 원활하게 이행하기 위한 취업준비행동 실태를 분석하고, 이에 따른 성과를 분석하는 것이다. 한국직업능력개발원의 한국교육고용패널(KEEP) 4차년도(2007년)부터 7차년도(2010년) 패널자료를 활용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 여대생들은 주로 학점관리 및 전공공부, 영어공부, 자격증 취득 등 취업사전관리를 위한 준비행동 비율은 높았으나, 구직경험, 정보검색, 상담실 활용, 워크넷 및 고용센터 활용 등 직접적인 구직활동 비율은 낮았으며, 이러한 특징은 전문대 졸업생에 비하여 4년제 학생들에게서 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 또한 이들의 취업성공에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학교유형 및 전공, 미래지업에 인식 및 직업정보 검색이었으며, 그 외의 취업준비행동은 취업성공에 크게 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 여대생의 취업성과를 높이기 위한 대학의 취업지원서비스 및 여대생의 준비노력이 필요하다는 점을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study was to examine female college graduates school-to-work transition preparation and their successful transition to labor market, using the data of Korea Education and Employment Panel(KEEP) from year 2008(4th) through year 2011(7th). In the results, college women made efforts to pursue the good grade, professional certifications as well as to study their major field and business english. However, the following efforts of seeking the employment information, doing job experience, and using Work-Net and employment service centers, which are considered as public employment service, was less predominent among female college graduates. 4-year college women have done these job preparation behaviors more frequently than those of 2-year college women. In terms of their employment status and outcomes, the college graduated women have satisfied with their job situation despite they are not satisfied with wage. The determinantal factors impacting their successful transition to labor market are college type, major, information on future job and job seeking information. Other factors are not statistically significant. We suggested the colleges role of supporting job preparation behaviors.
