산업디자인학 전공 학생의 메타인지능력이 문제해결능력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 디자인 학습자의 문제해결능력을 높이기 위한 전략으로 학습자 스스로의 문제해결 능력을 키울 수 있는 효과적인 대안으로 메타인지능력을 제안하였으며, 이에 산업디자인을 전공하는 대학생을 대상으로 그들이 애초에 가지고 있던 메타인지능력이 디자인 문제해결능 력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 메타인지능력이 높을수록 창의적 구상 력과 디자인 종합화 능력이 높아졌으며, 그 하위요인인 신선한 창조능력과 아이디어 시각화 능력, 조형감각과 주제에 대한 기획과 이해력, 분석적 사고력, 사용자 생각과 환경을 고려하 는 능력이 메타인지능력에 긍정적인 영향을 받았다. 이에 대한 시사점으로는 대학생들의 디 자인 문제해결능력에도 메타인지능력이 긍정적인 효과를 가지는 것을 볼 때, 대학당국의 디 자인 커리큘럼 중 디자인 이론과 실습에 메타인지능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 교육콘텐츠를 개 발하여 포함시킬 필요가 있다. 특히 메타인지 중에서도 조절능력이 디자인 문제해결능력을 높이는데 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 보아, 학생들이 자신의 디자인적 문제해결에서 당초 에 계획하고 점검한 것을 발전적인 방향에서 수정하고 조절할 수 있는 능력을 키울 수 있도 록 콘텐츠와 커리큘럼 개발이 필요하다는 것을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study has suggested metacognitive ability as an effective alternative which can enhance an ability to solve a problem in learners themselves in a strategy for improving an ability to solve a problem in design learners, and has investigated an effect of inherent metacognitive ability on an ability to solve a problem in college students having a major of industrial design. As investigated, the higher metacognitive ability he has, the higher creative imagination and design integration he has. Further, the metacognitive ability positively affects fresh creative ability, idea visualization, modeling sense, planning and understanding of theme, analytical thinking and ability to consider user’s expectation and environment as sub-factors. As the result indicates, as the metacognitive ability positively affects an ability to solve a design problem in college students, a training content to enhance the metacognitive ability should be developed and included in design theory and practice curriculums of the colleges. In particular, we suggests it is considered that control ability in the metacognition greatly affects improvement of the ability to solve a design problem, and thus it is needed to develop contents and curriculums capable of improving an ability for a student to developmentally modulate and control his original plan and check matter in solving a design problem.
