아동의 애착수준 평가도구로서의 모자화의 활용가능성

국문 초록

이 연구는 모자화를 아동의 애착평가도구로 활용할 수 있는가를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구대상은 대구ㆍ 경북 지역 소재 초등학교 4~6학년생 394명(남 216, 여 178명)이다. 연구도구는 또래애착척도와 모자화이다. 모자 화의 해석지표는 14개로 설정하였다. 자료분석은 교차분석과 판별분석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동의 애착수준에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 지표는 어머니상에서 얼굴형태, 얼굴표정, 신 체부위생략, 아이상에서 신체형태, 얼굴형태, 얼굴표정, 신체부위생략, 모자상에서 크기비교와 눈맞춤이다. 애착 안정성이 높은 아동은 애착안정성이 낮은 아동보다 어머니상에서는 얼굴형태에서 전체를 그리고 미소가 있으 며 신체부위의 생략이 없는 비율이 높았고, 아이상에서는 신체형태에서는 전체, 얼굴형태에서 전체를 그리고 미소가 있으며 신체부위생략이 없는 비율이 높았으며, 모자상에서는 아이상보다 큰 어머니상과 상호눈맞춤의 비율이 높았다. 이들 유의차가 있는 지표들에 대하여 판별분석을 실시한 결과, 어머니상에서의 얼굴형태와 얼 굴표정, 아이상에서의 신체형태와 얼굴형태, 모자상에서의 크기비교가 유의한 변인으로 나타났으며, 이들의 판 별력은 70.3%로 나타났다. 요컨대 이 연구에서는 모자화에서 어머니상의 얼굴형태와 얼굴표정, 아이상의 신체 형태와 얼굴형태, 모자상의 크기비교의 변인들을 활용하여 아동의 애착수준을 평가할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

This paper addresses the possibility of using the Mother-and-Child Drawings (MCD) as an attachment level assessment tool for children. Participants included 394(216 males, 178 females) elementary school students from grades four to six. Measurement tools included the IPPA-R and the MCD. Data analysis was performed using cross tabulation and discriminant analysis. The results indicated that nine indices showed statistical significance. In the case of the mother figure, whole face, smiling, and no omission of body parts were more prevalent in the drawings by high secure attachment children. In the case of the mother figure, whole-length, whole face, smiling, and no omission of body parts were more prevalent in the drawings of high secure attachment children. In the case of mother and child figures, the child being bigger than the mother, and mutual eye contact were more commonly observed in the drawings of high secure attachment children. All other indices showed evidence of meaningful differences in cross tabulation were performed as discriminant analysis. The results of the analysis indicated 70.3% discriminatory power for the variables, and specifically showed significant differences in the face shape and facial expression (smiling) in mother figure, body shape and face shape in child figure, and size comparison in mother and child figures. In conclusion, the MCD appears to be an effective tool for assessing the attachment level of children.
