지적장애를 대상으로 한 미술치료의 중재현황과 연구경향 분석 - 1994년~2016년 국내 학술지 논문을 중심으로 -

국문 초록

본 연구는 국내 학술지에 게재된 지적장애 관련 미술치료연구의 경향과 중재현황을 살펴보고 향후 연구와 치료의 방향성을 제시하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여, 학술정보BD에서 검색된 64편의 논문을 대상으로 자료경향, 표본특성, 연구설계, 미술치료방법, 중재특성에 따라 문헌분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1994년에 지적장애인에 관한 미술치료 사례연구가 처음 게재된 이래로 26종의 학술지에서 다양한 주제의 연구가 게재되었다. 둘째, 연구의 대상은 10대 남성이 가장 많았고 41세 이상의 성인을 대상으로 한 연구는 전 무하였으며 장애급수를 기술하지 않은 연구가 많았다. 셋째, 활용된 연구방법은 사전？사후점수를 비교한 개인 사례연구가 가장 많았으나 점차 통계적 기법이나 단일대상 연구방법을 활용하여 치료효과를 엄밀하게 검증하 고자 하는 경향이 있었다. 측정도구는 총 46종이 사용되었는데 그 중에서도 동적 집 나무 사람 그림검사가 가 장 많이 활용된 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 미술치료가 지적장애인의 가족기능강화, 문제행동과 성문제중재, 그리고 사회정서, 언어, 진로, 시？지각의 발달을 포함한 다양한 영역에서 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 보고되었으며 각 목표에 따라 각기 다른 이론적 배경과 하위치료목표 및 미술활동이 적용된 것을 확인하였다. 다섯째, 중재 특성으로는 회당 50분의 주 1회씩, 총 20회기가 가장 많이 이뤄진 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This research aimed to examine the trends of art therapy for intellectual disability published in the Korea's academic journals and suggest directions for future research and treatment. A literature analysis was conducted on 64 articles based on the criteria of data trend, sample characteristic, research design, art therapy method, and characteristics of the intervention. The results are as follows: First, studies with various topics have been published in 26 journals since a case study was published in 1994. Second, the number of studies on males in their teens was the highest while there was no study on adults older than 41 years of age. Further, many studies did not specify the grade of disability. Third, studies conducted with observation and pre-post-scores comparison were most frequent. However, there was a trend of closely examining treatment effects by using statistics or a single subject design. Among a total of 46 measure tools that were used, K-HTP were used the most. Fourth, it has been reported that art therapy has positive effects on strengthening family function, intervention of behavioral and sexual problems, and development of social emotions, verbal skills, career choice, and visual perception. It was confirmed that each goal was applied with different art activities, theoretical backgrounds, and sub-treatment goals. Fifth, the most prevalent characteristics of the intervention comprised a 50-minute weekly session with 20 total sessions.
