학습부진 학생들의 학업 자아개념 결정요인 및 학습부진 지도수업의 조절효과 검증

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국교육종단연구(Korean Education Longitudinal Study) 자료를 활용하여 학습부진 학 생들의 학업 자아개념이 다른 변인들과 어떠한 구조적 관계를 갖고 있으며, 학습부진 지도수업은 학습부진 학생들의 학업 자아개념 결정과정에 어떠한 조절효과를 갖는지를 분석하였다. 주된 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습부진 학생들의 학업 자아개념은 부모의 학습지원활동과 공부시간으 로부터 유의한 영향을 받고 있었다. 이는 학습부진 학생일지라도 부모의 적극적인 학습지원 활동이 있을 경우, 긍정적인 학업 자아개념을 형성할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 둘째, 학습부진 지도수업은 학업 자아개념에 통계적으로 유의한 조절효과를 갖지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 가정배경이 학 습지원활동에 대해 끼치는 영향력의 정도를 일정 정도 낮추어주고, 학습지원 활동이 학업 자아개념 에 대해 갖는 영향력을 높이는 데 일정 정도의 기여를 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 향후 학습 부진 지도수업은 학습부진 학생들의 정의적 발달 및 긍정적인 학업 자아개념의 형성에 초점을 두 는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Using a representative data from Korean Education Longitudinal Study(KELS), this study attempts to investigate the structural relationship among academic self-concept of underachievers and other variables, along with testing the moderator effect of lesson plan for the underachievers. The major findings can be summarized as follows. First, the academic self-concept of underachievers is significantly influenced by the parents' supporting activities and students' studying time. This implies that if parents support their children actively, even underachievers can have a positive academic self-concept. Second, the lesson plan for underachievers didn't show significant moderator effect in determining their academic self-concept. Nonetheless, we can confirm the lesson plan for underachievers can weaken the effect of family background on parents' supporting activities, and can also enhance the effect of parents' supporting activities on the academic self-concept. These results suggest that the lesson plan for underachievers should focus on the affective development and the formation of positive academic self-concept for underachievers.
