도시지역 여성결혼이민자의 재사회화에 관한 질적 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 도시지역 여성결혼이민자의 재사회화 과정을 질적 연구방법을 통해 살펴보았다. 연구 참여자들은 서울을 비롯하여 수도권에 거주하고 있는 7명으로서, 베트남, 몽골, 우즈베키스탄 그리 고 중국 여성들로, 이중에는 조선족 교포여성과 고려인 후손들을 포함하였다. 이들의 재사회화 과 정은 첫째, 불안과 고립을 느끼는 단계, 둘째, 혼돈과 갈등을 겪는 단계, 셋째, 주위와 긍정적인 관 계를 형성하고 환경에 대한 수용력을 확장하는 단계, 마지막으로 생애개발을 통하여 더 나은 미래 를 계획하는 단계로 전개되는 것으로 나타났다. 참여자의 재사회화는 교육수준이 높고, 한국어 구 사능력이 높으며, 가족의 지지를 많이 받을수록 순조롭게 이루어지고 있었다. 또한 참여자의 한국 사회의 문화적 유사성은 재사회화에 긍정적으로 작용하고 있었다. 도시지역에 거주하는 참여자들은 농촌 거주자와는 달리 이웃과의 교류의 매개 역할을 하는 시어머니와 함께 거주하지 않고, 친척들 과의 교류도 빈번하지 않은 편이어서 한국의 문화와 사회제도를 배울 수 있는 인적 인프라가 상대 적으로 취약한 편이다.

영문 초록

TThe purpose of this study was to examine the resocialization process of female marriage immigrants in urban communities by adopting a qualitative research method. The subjects in this study were seven female immigrants who resided in and around Seoul. Some were from Vietnam, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and China, and the others were Korean- Chinese and the descendants of Goryeo. Their resocialization consisted of four stages. They felt anxious and left out in the first stage, and the second stage was marked by confusion and conflicts. In the third stage, they got to be in a better relationship with people around them, and became more receptive to surrounding environments. In the final stage, they tried to improve their lives and made a preparation to lead a better life in the future. Those who were better educated, who had a better Korean proficiency and who were more supported from their families were more successful in resocialization. And the similarities between their mother countries and Korean society had a positive impact on their resocialization. Unlike rural immigrants, the urban immigrants didn't live with their mothers-in-law who could mediate between them and neighbors, and they didn't meet the relatives of their husbands frequently. Therefore there wasn't solid human infrastructure by which they could learn about Korean culture and social system.
