박물관 및 미술관의 전문인력 교육프로그램 운영과 활용방안 - 이화여자대학교 박물관의 도슨트 및 인턴쉽 교육프로그램을 중심으로

국문 초록

대학박물관은 대학이라는 특수한 교육환경 속에 존립하면서 대학의 구성원과 일반 대중의 문화교육에 이바지하여야 하는 사명을 가지고 있다. 이러한 대학박물관의 전문인력을 위한 교육프로그램은 대학에서 배출하는 박물관 예비 인력들에게 박물관 업무를 경험할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 대학의 전문 강사진과 밀접한 연계를 가지고 박물관 전문인력을 위한 다양한 재교육 프로그램을 기획할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이 논문에서는 전문인력을 위한 교육프로그램이 국립, 공립, 대학, 사립 박물관 및 미술관에 따라 어떻게 운영되고 있는지를 살펴보고 이화 여자대학교 박물관의 도슨트 및 인턴쉽 교육프로그램 현황을 통해서 실제 운영에 있어서의 구체적인 문제를 살펴보았다. 이화여자대학교 박물의 전문인력을 위한 교육프로그램은 학교기관 즉 관련학과와의 긴밀한 연계를 가지고 운영되고 있다. 재학생들을 위한 도슨트 프로그램과 관련학과 대학원생들을 위한 인턴쉽 프로그램을 운영하면서 활동분야를 세분화하고 전문적인 능력을 습득할 수는 교육내용을 구성하여 박물관 전문인력으로서의 자질을 향상시키는데 주력하고 있다. 대학의 전문인력과 관련학과와의 연계 하에서 장기적이고 체계적인 교육프로그램을 개발한다면 대학박물관은 대학의 교육이념을 성실히 수행하는 교육기관으로서의 역할을 수행할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 정부차원의 경제적인 지원과 조직적인 박물관 네트워크를 결성하여 전문지식을 공유하고 각 기관의 환경에 맞게 적용하는 것이 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

The university museum, which is located at tile special educational environment of tile university, holds tile academic vision that represents tile educational ideals of both tile university institution and tile social public. The educational program within tile campus museum for museum professionals has many advantages, including advisory suggestions that not only discusses tile practical affairs of tile museum carried out by tile university such as tile daily administrative and managerial duties but also provides information regarding tile various educational programs for museum workers that are also closely associated with tile academic lectures from tile university. The Ewha Woman s University Museum has organized lectures and developed an educational internship program, providing courses connected to tile museum for students majoring in tile associated fields since 2002. These programs induce an effective educational experience, enhancing both tile learners knowledge and expertise as well as developing a sense of confidence and satisfaction in their work, by offering advice and information regarding study classes and specific contents within tile exhibitions from tile museum suggesting them museum study classes and tile specific contents of exhibition. Furthermore, with tile aid of these instructive courses, tile learning participants of tile internship programs are able to improve their special skills in subdividing and managing various museum duties and works. The museum of tile university should actively develop its specialized services aimed towards museum professionals as a means to continuously obtain excellent results and maintain public respect regarding their evaluative and critical work within tile an community. The museum at Ewha University serves as an educational institution symbolizing tile University academic vision by developing tile instructional programs for museum professionals. If tile university museum is successful in developing long-term, systematic education programs thar are associated with tile university, recognizing tile importance of instructively training museum professionals, it can effectively establish the ideal conditions for generating productive museum professionals. Also, inducing funds from govemmental support and constructing tile systematical network of tile museum with functions of sharing and distributing tile information stored within museum are both essential elements that are applied to their own environments.
