국문 초록

연구목적： 본 연구는 홧병의 특징적인 증상이 무엇인가를 규명하기 위한 것이다. 방 법： 연구대상으로 정상인 115명, 불안장애, 주요우울증, 감정부전장애, 적응장애 및 신체화장애를 가진 환자 279명을 대상으로 하여 설문지 조사법을 통해 연구하였다. 설문지는 SCL-90에 한국의 문화관련 증상으로 생각되는 항목 그리고 홧병의 심한 정도에 관한 항목을 추가한 것이다. 이 결과를 Spearman 상관관계 검증, χ2-검증, t-검증 그리고 집락분석을 통해 분석하였다. 결 과： 홧병군은 비홧병군 보다 더 심한 증상들을 가지고 있었으며, 그 증상양상은 일반적인 우울과 불안 상태 및 강박증 등의 증상들 이외에 가슴답답함, 뛰쳐나가고 싶음, 치밀어 오름, 눈물, 진땀, 목가슴의 덩어리, 신체통 증, 분노, 억울함/분함, 신체열감, 한숨, 이인증, 꿈이 많음, 미움, 수치감, 피해의식, 잘 놀램, 눈이 침침함, 겁 이 많음, 파괴적 충동성, 정신없음, 한기, 하소연, 참을성 없음, 더운것 못참음, 안면홍조 등 특징적이었다. 결 론： 이러한 결과는 분노에 관련된 특정 임상적 증후군을 개념화 할 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives：This study was to investigate the characteristic symptoms of socalled hwabyung, a syndrome related to anger. Methods：One hundred and fifteen normal healthy volunteer and 279 patients with anxiety disoders, somatoform disorders, major depressive disorder without psychotic features, and dysthymic disorder completed a self-rating questionnaire which include the Korean version of SCL-90, and selected Korean culture-related symptoms, and the severity of hwabyung. The data was statistically analyzed with t-test, χ2 -test, Spearman correlation test and cluster analysis. Results：The symptoms of hwabyung group were severer than in non-hwabyung group, and hwabyung was characterized by the symptoms of chest stifling/oppression, impulse to go-out, a pushing-up sensation in the chest, weeping, mortification, heat sensation, sighing, depersonalization, many dreams, hate, shame, paranoid feeling, easily being frightened, blurred vision, fearfulness, destructive impulsiveness, absent mindedness, cold sensation, pleading, irritability, intolerance to the heat and facial flushing as well as typical neurotic symptoms such as anxiety states, depression and obsessive-compulsiveness. Conclusion：These results suggest that an anger disorder can be conceptualized.
