국문 초록

본 연구는 ADHD로 인해 학교생활 부적응을 겪는 초등학교 2학년 남아에 대한 놀이치료 사례연구이다. 7개월간 30회기에 걸쳐 아동중심놀이치료를 실시하였고, 그 과정에서 나타난 변화를 놀이주제 및 놀이행동의 변화를 중심으로 분석 정리하였다. 내담아동은 아동중심놀이치료 과정에서 자기성장에 필요한 심리적 주제들을 안전하게 다루어 나갔는데, 그 주제의 흐름을 단계별로 살펴보면 초기에는 주로 대립적인 관계구도 속에서 ‘힘/통제-양육-의존’의 주제가 중심을 이루었고, 중기에는 남아발달의 과정 속에서 ‘힘/통제-관계-숙달’의 주제가 나타났으며, 후기에는 창의적인 문제해결 과정 속에서 ‘힘/통제-숙달-보상-회복/탄력-통합’의 주제들이 증가하는 양상을 보였다. 부모상담을 통해 보고된 학교생활 적응 면에서도 긍정적인 변화들이 많이 나타났으며, 그 변화의 흐름과 단계별 시점을 살펴볼 때 치료실에서의 변화와 실생활에서의 변화가 상호 맥락을 같이 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 논문은 ADHD 증상으로 인해 학교생활 부적응을 겪고 있는 남아에게 아동중심놀이치료를 실시하고, 치료단계에 따른 놀이주제 및 놀이행동의 변화를 생활상의 변화와 함께 분석해봄으로써 아동중심놀이치료가 ADHD 아동에게 미친 영향을 살펴보고 논의하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This is a case study on the play therapy for a second grade elementary school boy who has suffered school maladjustment due to ADHD. The child-centered play therapy was conducted thirty times total in seven months, and the changes were analyzed based on play themes and changes of play behavior in the process of therapy. During the child-centered play therapy sessions, the child tried to handle psychological themes which are essential for self growing. Examining the flow of themes by phase; in the beginning, the main theme was ‘power/control-nurturing-dependency’ within composition of antagonistic relations. In the middle of the stage, the theme of ‘power/control-relationship-mastery’ came up with a boy’s development process. In the latter stage, it showed the aspect of increase on the theme of power/control-mastery-reparation-resiliency-integration in the process of creative problem solving. The boy s school life adaptation reported from parent counselling also indicated many positive changes. Judging from the flow of the change and each point of the stage, it showed that changes in a therapy room and in his real life are within the mutual contexts. This thesis has a significance that was examined and discussed the effect of child-centered play therapy on children with ADHD by conducting child-centered play therapy to the boy suffering school maladjustment due to ADHD and analyzing changes based on play themes and changes of play behavior by phase of therapy together with the changes in his real life.
