국문 초록

본 연구는 유아의 부정적 정서성과 놀이성의 관계를 규명하고, 이들 간의 관계에 대한 어머 니의 정서표현 수용태도의 조절효과와 긍정적 정서표현성의 매개효과를 밝힘으로써, 유아의 놀이성 발달에 도움이 될 수 있는 부모교육 자료를 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 만 3~5세 유아 248명과 그들의 어머니, 교사를 대상으로 질문지를 통해 자료를 수집하였고 Pearson의 적률상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아의 부 정적 정서성은 유아의 놀이성, 어머니의 긍정적 정서표현성과 부적 상관관계를 보였고 유아 의 놀이성은 어머니의 정서표현 수용태도, 어머니의 긍정적 정서표현성과 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 유아의 부정적 정서성과 놀이성 간의 관계에서 어머니의 정서표현 수용태도의 조절효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 어머니의 긍정적 정서표현성은 유아의 부정적 정서성과 놀이성 간의 관계를 부분매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 부정적 정서성이 높은 유아의 놀이성이 낮아지는 것을 예방하기 위해 자녀가 표현하는 정서에 대한 어머니의 수용적 태도가 중요하 고 평소 어머니가 긍정적인 정서를 더욱 많이 표현하려는 노력이 중요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study primarily aimed to explore the moderating effects of mothers’ acceptance of emotional expressions and mediating effects of mothers’ positive emotional expressiveness on the relationships between children’s negative emotionality and playfulness. It aimed to provide parent education materials. Data were gathered from questionnaires for three- and five-year-old kindergarten children(N=248) and their mothers and teachers. For data analysis, Pearson’s correlation and hierarchical regression were used. The major findings of this study are as follows: First, children’s negative emotionality had a negative correlation with their playfulness and mothers’ positive emotional expressiveness. Children’s playfulness had a positive correlation with mothers’ acceptance of emotional expressions and positive emotional expressiveness. Second, mothers’ acceptance of emotional expressions moderates the relationship between children’s negative emotionality and playfulness. Third, mothers’ positive emotional expressiveness mediates the relationship between children’s negative emotionality and playfulness. This suggests that mother’s acceptance of emotional expressions and positive emotional expressiveness are important to prevent a decrease in playfulness of children with high negative emotions.
