소규모 기독교대학의 교양교육과정 모형 연구

국문 초록

연구 목적 : 본 연구는 J 대학교의 교양교육과정이 대학의 건학 이념과 교육 목표, 그리고 미래 핵심역량을 기반으로 적절히 운영되고 있는지 검토하고, 이를 반영하여 핵심역량 기반의 체계적이고 효과적인 교양교육과정을 설계하기 위한 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 하며, 이를 통해 대학 교육의 질적 향상과 학생 역량 강화에 기여하고자 한다. 연구 내용 및 방법 : 본 연구는 문헌 연구, 델파이 조사, 그리고 재학생 설문조사를 중심으로 수행하였다. 문헌 연구를 바탕으로 교양교육과정 모형을 설계하고, 교양교육 전문가 패널을 대상으로 델파이 조사를 통해 핵심역량 기반 교양교육과정의 타당성과 적합성을 검증하였다. 또 재학생 설문조사를 통해 교양교육의 실제 운영 현황 및 만족도를 파악하기 위해 진행되었으며, 응답 결과를 기술적 분석 및 통계적 방법을 통해 분석하였다. 결론 및 제언 : J 대학교의 교양교육과정은 전반적으로 핵심역량과 학문 분야 간 균형을 갖춘 모형으로 평가되었으나, 일부 영역에서 타당성이 부족한 과목들이 발견되었다. 이에 따라 자기주도적 학습과 공감 협력 역량 강화를 위해 교과목의 재구성과 보완이 요구되며, 학생들의 지적 호기심을 유발할 수 있는 과목 개발이 필요하다는 점이 확인되었다. 본 연구는 J 대학교의 교양교육이 핵심역량 기반으로 더욱 체계화되고, 학생들의 학습 경험을 풍부하게 할 수 있는 방향으로 개선되어야 한다는 것을 밝혀낼 수 있었고, 이를 위해 시대적 흐름을 반영한 새로운 교수법 도입과 비교과 프로그램의 연계 운영, 지속적인 환류 시스템을 통해 교양교육의 질적 향상을 도모할 것을 제언한다.

영문 초록

Purpose of Study: This study aims to examine whether the general education curriculum of J University is being appropriately operated based on the university's founding philosophy, educational goals, and future core competencies. Additionally, it seeks to explore ways to design a systematic and effective general education curriculum centered on core competencies. Through this, the study endeavors to contribute to the qualitative enhancement of university education and the strengthening of student competencies. Research content and method: This study was conducted focusing on literature review, Delphi survey, and student surveys. Based on the literature review, a general education curriculum model was designed, and the validity and relevance of the competency-based general education curriculum were verified through a Delphi survey targeting a panel of general education experts. Additionally, a student survey was conducted to identify the current status and satisfaction with the actual implementation of the general education curriculum. The survey responses were analyzed using descriptive analysis and statistical methods. Conclusions and Suggestions: The general education curriculum at J University is evaluated as a model that generally achieves a balance between core competencies and academic disciplines. However, certain areas were found to include courses lacking sufficient validity. Consequently, the restructuring and enhancement of courses are required to strengthen self-directed learning and empathetic collaboration competencies. Additionally, the development of courses that can stimulate students' intellectual curiosity has been identified as necessary. This study highlights the need for J University's general education curriculum to be further systematized based on core competencies and to enhance students' learning experiences. To achieve this, it is recommended to introduce new teaching methods that reflect current trends, integrate extracurricular programs with the curriculum, and establish a continuous feedback system to improve the quality of general education.
