국문 초록

본 연구는 고등학생의 우울, 자존감, 행복감, 창의성 간의 관계에서 자존감 및 행복감의 매개효과를 검증하여 고등학생의 창의성 증진을 위한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 ‘2018년 한국 아동･청소년 패널조사’ 4차년도 자료를 이용하여 남학생 1,217명과 여학생 1,048명으로 총 2, 265명의 데이터가 분석되었다. 수집된 자료는 구조방정식 모형으로 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우울은 자존감과 행복감 및 창의성에 정적인 영향이 나타났고, 자존감 및 행복감은 창의성에 정적인 영향이 나타났다. 둘째, 우울과 창의성 간의 관계에서 자존감은 부분매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 우울과 창의성 간의 관계에서 행복감은 부분매개효과가 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 정신건강과 창의성에 대한 관계를 실증적으로 확인해 본 의미가 있는 연구라 여겨진다. 또한 청소년의 창의성을 증진시키기 위한 방안을 제시하는 데 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study explored the mediating effects of self-esteem and happiness on the relationship between depression, self-esteem, happiness, and creativity among high school students. The goal was to provide insights for enhancing students' creativity. To achieve this, data from the 4th wave of the 2018 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey were analyzed, covering a total of 2,265 high school students—1,217 males and 1,048 females. The data were examined using a structural equation model. The results of this study are as follows: First, depression positively influenced self-esteem, happiness, and creativity, while both self-esteem and happiness positively affected creativity. Second, self-esteem partially mediated the relationship between depression and creativity. Third, happiness also partially mediated the relationship between depression and creativity. This study is considered to be a meaningful investigation that empirically confirms the relationship between mental health and creativity. Furthermore, it could serve as a foundational resource for proposing strategies to enhance creativity among adolescents.
