장애인의 여가활동참여가 생활만족도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애인의 여가활동참여가 생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 장애유형에 따라 알아봄으로써 장애인의 생활만족을 증대시킬 수 있는 여가활동프로그램 마련의 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 첫째, 장애인의 여가활동참여정도는 지체, 뇌병변, 시각, 청각․언어장애유형별로 어떤 차이가 있는가? 둘째, 장애인의 생활만족수준은 어떠하며 장애유형에 따라 어떤 차이가 있는가? 셋째, 장애유형별 여가활동참여가 생활만족에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 라는 연구문제로 장애인종합복지관, 시각장애인협회, 농아인협회를 이용하는 장애인을 대상으로 조사연구를 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다: 1) 대상 장애인의 전체적인 여가활동 참여수준은 매우 낮은 편이며, 이 중 TV보기처럼 소극적 실내활동의 참여수준이 가장 높았고, 적극적 신체활동과 관련된 여가활동 참여수준은 매우 낮았으며 장애유형에 따른 여가활동참여의 차이는 유의하게 나타났다. 2) 장애인의 생활만족은 인간관계만족도가 가장 높았고, 경제만족도가 가장 낮았으며, 장애유형에 따라 생활만족도는 비교적 높은 수준의 유의한 차이가 있었다. 3) 장애유형별로 여가활동참여가 생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과, 지체장애인의 경우 정적인 여가활동만이 인간관계만족도, 일․직업만족도, 사회여가만족도, 행복감, 자율성․자아감만족도에 유의한 정적 영향을 가진 것으로 나타났다. 뇌병변장애인의 경우 사회참여 여가활동만이 일․직업만족도, 경제만족도, 사회여가생활만족도, 행복감, 자율성․자아감만족도에 유의한 정적 영향을 가진 것으로 나타났다. 시각장애인의 경우 여행관련 여가참여는 인간관계만족도에만 유의한 영향을 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 청각․언어장애인의 경우 정적여가활동이 자율성․자아감만족도에, 문화예술적 여가활동이 사회․여가활동만족도에 유의한 정적 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to determine effects of participation of the handicapped in leisure activities on their life satisfaction and the variation depending upon their disability type. This study used a questionnaire to survey the handicapped people in Gyeongnam province. The results of this study can be summarized as follows:First, it was found that handicapped respondents participated very inactively in general leisure activities. According to their disability type, there were significant differences in their overall participation in leisure activities among groups. Secondly, handicapped respondents felt satisfied most at personal relationships and least at financial conditions. Depending on disability type, it was found that audial and verbal disability group felt highest satisfaction at their daily life, which was followed by mental retardation group, visual disability group and brain disability group. Thirdly, for adults with mental retardation, only static leisure activities had significant positive effects on their satisfaction at personal relationships, work/occupation, social leisure, sense of happiness and autonomy/self-esteem. For the adults with brain disability, only leisure activities of social participation had significant positive effects on their satisfaction with work/occupation, financial conditions, life of social leisure, sense of happiness and autonomy/self-esteem. For the adults with visual disability, tourism-related leisure activities had significant effects only on their satisfaction at personal relationships. And it was found that recreational leisure activities had negative effects on their satisfaction at personal relationships, financial conditions, social and leisure life, and the sense of happiness. For adults with audial and verbal disability, static leisure activities had significant effects on their satisfaction at autonomy and self-esteem.
