비혼모의 자녀 양육비 확보 투쟁에 대한 포토보이스 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 한부모운동활동가로서 비혼모 자조모임에 참여하면서 양육비 확보 투쟁에 참여하고 있는 비혼모 10인의 경험을 다룬 연구이다. 자료 수집은 Wang과 Burris(1997)가 제안한 포토보이스(Photovoice)방법을 활용했다. 수집된 자료는 Braun과 Clarke(2019)가 제안한 주제분석법(Thematic analysis)으로 접근하여 분석했다. 자료 분석 결과 57개의 개별주제와 16개의 하위 주제가 출현했다. 이를 중심으로 6개의 상위주제를 결집했다. 상위주제는 ‘낙인 속에 묻힌 권리의 발전’, ‘은폐된 ‘나’ 드러내기’, ‘연대와 결속의 중심 자조모임’, ‘여론전쟁에서의 연합전선’, ‘정책 빗장 열기’, ‘끝이 보이지 않는 길’, ‘다시 걷기’로 나타났다. 연구자는 연구 결과에 근거하여 비혼모들은 양육비 확보 권리투쟁을 통해 임파워먼트를 구축했으며 한 쪽 눈을 감는 외눈박이 정책을 개선하기 위한 시도, 자녀 양육비 지급에 있어 국가의 적극적인 개입이 필요함을 논의했다. 마지막으로 사회복지실천가들의 지원, 국가 차원의 관심 모색에 대한 구체적 제언을 했다.

영문 초록

This study deals with the experiences of 10 unmarried mothers who participate in the struggle for the secure child support while participating in the self-help group for unmarried mothers as a single-parent activist. For data collection, the Photo Voice method proposed by Wang and Burris(1997) was used. The collected data were analyzed using the Thematic analysis proposed by Braun and Clarke (2019). 57 individual themes and 16 sub-themes appeared. Based on this, 6 top themes were gathered. Based on this, six top themes were gathered. ‘the development of rights buried in stigma’,‘the concealed “I” disclosure’,‘the central self-help group of solidarity and solidarity’,‘the united front in the war of public opinion’,‘the opening of policy bars’, ‘the endless path, and walking again.’ Based on the results of the study, the researcher discussed that unmarried mothers built empowerment through the struggle for child support rights, attempted to improve the one-eyed policy to close one eye, and the need for active intervention by the state in child support payments. Finally, I made concrete suggestions for the support of social welfare practitioners and the search for national interest.
