분수기법의 창조적 계승으로서의 무필연침 기법을 이용한 청화도의 의미

국문 초록

모든 문화는 과거로부터 이어지되 과거를 새롭게 해석하여 현재를 이루고, 미래를 향해 발전해 나아간다. 그래서 청화도를 그리는 기법 역시 앞 세대의 전통을 이어받은 현 세대의 작가들은 기존의 기법을 고수하는 데 머무르지 않고 이를 넘어 자신만의 독특한 해석으로 새로운 기법의 창조를 통해 새롭게 계승하고자 시도한다. 이런 맥락에서 무필연침 기법은 과거의 기법을 답습하기만 하는 도예 현장에서 전통에 대한 새로운 해석을 통해 계승에 대한 창조적 해석을 실현하고자 하는 목적을 갖게 되며, 기존의 전통적 기법인 분수기법의 우연성과 필연성이 조절 불가능하다는 이유에서 새로운 기법의 창조가 요청된다. 우연성과 필연성을 조절할 수 있고, 이를 통해 우연과 필연이 자연스럽게 조우할 수 있는 기법의 창조야말로 분수기법이라는 전통의 능동적인 계승이며, 전통의 답습이 아닌 창조적 계승이 될 수 있을 것이다. 이 글에서 제시하는 ‘무필연침 기법을 통한 청화 모란’은 삶의 치열함과 다양성을 증명하는 것이 아니라, 있는 그대로의 모습을 보여주기 위한 노력의 결과이다. 단순히 문양을 미학적으로 설명하는 것이 아니라, 문양을 만들어 내는 기법은 물론 기법과 문양에 대한 종합적인 상징성과 기호성을 미학적으로 해석해 내는 시도는 새로운 의미를 가지며, 이러한 시도는 기법과 문양의 미학적 관계에 대한 종합적인 탐구에 대한 초석이 될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

All cultures continue from the past, but achieve the present by newly interpreting the past, and develop toward the future. Therefore, the current generation of artists who have inherited the tradition of the previous generation should go beyond sticking to the existing techniques and inherit them through the creation of new techniques with their own unique interpretations. In this context, technique that utilize spills and smudges without brushes, or brushless needle technique (hereinafter, referred to as 無筆鉛針) aims to realize a creative interpretation of succession through a new interpretation of tradition at the pottery site, which only follows past techniques, and the creation of a new technique is required because the contingency and inevitability of the existing traditional technique, technique of Deviding Water, are uncontrollable. By controlling contingency and inevitability, the creation of a technique in which chance and inevitability can naturally encounter is an active succession of the tradition called the Fenshui(分水) skill, the technique of Deviding Water, and it can be a creative succession rather than a follow-up of tradition. The blue peony through the brushless needle technique presented in this study is not a proof of the fierceness and diversity of life, but is the result of efforts to show the way it is. Attempts to aesthetically interpret the comprehensive symbolism and symbolism of techniques and patterns as well as techniques to create patterns have a new meaning, and this attempt is expected to be a cornerstone for a comprehensive exploration of the aesthetic relationship between techniques and patterns.
