프레이트 포워더의 항공사 선정요인과 대안선정에 관한 연구

국문 초록

오늘날 항공사 간의 경쟁이 과열되면서 고객의 니즈에 맞는 차별화되고 고품질의 항공서비스 제공의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 항공사 선정요인에 대한 프레이트 포워더의 항공사 선정요인에 대한 중요도의 우선순위를 도출하고, 선정 대안으로 국적항공사와 외국 국적항공사의 선호도를 분석하여 항공사에 시사점을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 선행연구를 토대로 항공사를 선정하는 요인을 파악하였으며, 상위 요인으로 운송 요인, 비용 요인, 고객 서비스 요인, 평판/전문성의 4개 요인과 16개의 하위 요인을 도출하였고 AHP기법을 활용하여 중요도의 우선순위를 분석하였다. 분석결과에 따르면 상위 요인은 중요도 우선순위에서 평판/전문성 요인, 고객 서비스 요인, 운송 요인, 비용 요인 순으로 나타났다. 하위 요인별로는 먼저 평판/전문성 요인에서는 기업평판, 고객 서비스 요인은 지불 시스템이 가장 높은 중요도를 나타냈다. 운송 요인의 하위 요인에서는 운송 네트워크의 개수가 중요한 요인으로 분석되었으며, 비용 요인의 하위 요인에서는 다양한 운임체계가 중요한 요인으로 나타났다. 연구결과는 기존의 대부분의 연구에서 운임과 운송서비스의 순위가 높은데 반해 기업이미지와 지원 등의 요인에 대한 중요성이 높은 수치를 보여주고 있다. 국적항공사와 외국 국적항공사의 선정 대안을 분석한 결과 국적항공사가 비용 요인을 제외한 나머지 3개 요인에서 평균 70% 정도의 경쟁우위를 보인 반면 비용은 외국적사가 70%의 경쟁우위가 있는 것으로 조사되었다.

영문 초록

Purpose: As the competition between airlines overheats, the need to provide differentiated and high-quality air services that meet the needs of customers is emerging as a very important factor. Research design, data, and methodology: T his s tudy d erives t he i mportance a nd priority of freight forwarders' airline selection factors, and compares competitiveness between national airlines and foreign national airlines by employing AHP based on questionnaires collected from freight forwarders. For this study, the variables selected included four factors as higher-level criteria (transport, cost, customer service, and reputation/professional factors) and 16 factors as lower-level criteria from previous studies in the literature. Results: T his s tudy s hows t hat t he i mportance o f f actors s uch a s c orporate i mage a nd support functions is greater than other factors, whereas freight rates and transportation services ranked high in most of the existing studies. Analyzing the selection alternatives between national airlines and foreign national airlines found that the remaining three factors (excluding the cost factor) showed an average advantage of about 70%, while foreign national airlines had a competitive advantage of only 70% with regard to costs. Conclusions: This study showed that reputation, expertise, and additional service factors, which are non-essential and additional, are more important in selecting a transportation company than transportation and cost, which are the essential factors in air transportation. The results imply that other factors are given more importance, because the difference in cost factors is not high, or that factors other than cost are given more importance in airline selection, considering the high fares due to COVID-19.
