노인의 삶의 질에 정주환경과 노인 정책이 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 초고령화 사회 진입, 생활환경 개선 및 의료기술의 발달로 노년기가 증가함에 따라 경제적․신체적 약자인 노인의 삶의 질 향상에 영향을 주는 요인을 살펴보고자 한다. 분석을 위해 2020년 노인실태조사의 65세 이상의 노인을 대상으로 총 5,708명을 분석 대상자로 설정하여 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 사회적 측면과 삶의 질을 분석한 결과, 자녀의 도움과 배우자의 도움, 이웃과의 교류가 삶의 질에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을, 공간적 측면에서는 주거만족과 지역사회 만족이 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 반면 정책적 측면에서는 정책의 필요성만 삶의 질에 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로, 미충족 의료의 매개효과가 나타난 변수는 이웃교류와 주거만족, 정책인지도였다. 본 연구는 한국의 초고령화 사회 진입에 따른 노인의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 정주환경(AIP, 사회적 교류)과 노인 정책, 의료서비스의 역할을 함께 분석을 시도했다는 점에 의미가 있다.

영문 초록

This study seeks to explore the factors influencing the enhanced quality of life for economically and physically vulnerable elderly individuals amidst the challenges posed by entering an ultra-aging society, improving living environments, and advancements in medical technology. Using data from the 2020 Elderly Survey, a total of 5,708 individuals aged 65 and older were selected for multiple regression analyses. The findings indicate that positive influences on the quality of life were observed in social aspects, specifically through support from children and spouses, as well as interactions with neighbors. In spatial aspects, both housing satisfaction and community satisfaction showed significant positive impacts. However, from a policy perspective, only the perceived necessity of policies had a notable negative impact on the quality of life. Notably, variables indicating the mediating effects of unmet healthcare needs were found in neighborly interactions, housing satisfaction, and policy awareness. This study holds significance for attempting to comprehensively analyze the roles of age-friendly environments (AIP, social interactions), elderly policies, and healthcare services in enhancing the quality of life for the elderly as Korea enters an ultra-aging society.
