경찰관기동대원의 소진척도 타당성 연구

국문 초록

의무경찰제도가 2023년 완전히 폐지됨에 따라 직업 경찰관으로 구성된 경찰관기동대가 이를 대체하고 있지만 대체인력의 비율은 기존 대비 30% 수준에 불과하다. 부족한 인력으로 줄어들지 않는 집회·시위를 관리해야 하고, 부상의 위험 속에서 근무해야 하는 경찰관기동대원의 직무이탈 방지를 위해 이들의 소진 수준을 효율적으로 측정하고 상시 관리할 필요가 있다. 하지만 경찰관기동대원의 소진에 관한 연구가 부족할 뿐만 아니라, 기초적으로 대표적인 소진척도인 MBI가 경찰관기동대원의 소진을 측정하기에 유효한지에 관한 연구가 수행되고 있지 않다. 이에 이 연구는 MBI가 경찰관기동대원의 소진을 측정하기에 타당한 척도인지를 확인하기 위해 수행되었다. 구체적으로 기술통계분석, 신뢰도 분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석 등을 통해 타당성을 검증하였으며, 그 결과 경찰관기동대원의 소진척도는 3가지 요인으로 구분되는 사실을 확인하였다. 또한, MBI 원척도의 문항 22개 중 5개를 제외한 17개의 문항으로 구성된 수정된 MBI를 제시하였다. 이 연구는 경찰관기동대원의 소진에 관한 측정의 필요성과 이해를 높이고 이를 관리하는 프로그램의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

As the Auxiliary Police system is completely abolished in 2023, riot police squads composed of police officers are replacing the role of existing auxiliary Police. However, the number of riot police force is only 30% of the existing auxiliary police force. There is a need to manage rallies and protests that are not decreasing due to insufficient police force, and to prevent riot police officers from turning over their duties, who must work at risk of injury, it is necessary to efficiently measure and manage their burnout level on a regular basis. Accordingly, this study was conducted to efficiently measure the level of burnout of riot police officers and verify the validity of this burnout scale in order to manage it on a regular basis. To determine whether the MBI scale, a representative burnout scale, is an appropriate scale for riot police officers, the validity was verified through descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. As a result of this study, it was confirmed that the burnout scale of riot police officers was divided into three factors. A revised MBI scale consisting of 17 questions was presented, excluding 5 of the 22 questions of the original MBI scale. This study is significant in that it can be used as basic data for a program that increases the need and understanding of the burnout of riot police officers and manages it.
