죽록(竹麓) 윤효관(尹孝寬)의 가사 「소거가(繅車歌)」의 표현방식

국문 초록

이 글은 윤효관이 지은 가사 「소거가」의 표현방식과 작가의식을 구명하기 위해 작성하였다. ‘소거’는 원래 누에고치에서 실을 켜는 왕채라는 농기구를 가리킨다. 「소거가」는 95행 189구 총 1,367자로 이루어져 있는데, 본 논문은 작품에 면면히 흐르는 표현방식을 정리한 뒤 작가의식을 구명하였다. 윤효관은 운문 안에서도 한시와 시조, 가사의 목적이 각각 다르다는 것을 알았을 것으로 추측하는데, 이로써 「소거가」가 창작되었다고 판단하였다. 또한 「소거가」를 다른 사람이 ‘읽거나 노래로 부르기’를 바랐을 것인데, 그 계층을 남성에 한정하지 않고, 오히려 여성이기를 바랐을 것이라 결론지었다. 「소거가」는 총 여섯 단락으로 구분되며, 그 단락과 단락이 유기적으로 연결되어 있다. 제1단락은 소거를 제작하게 된 사연을 말하였고, 제2단락은 소거의 제작을 형상화했으며, 제3단락은 소거 앞에서 실을 켜는 모습을 그렸다. 제4단락은 면화를 피워 고치를 만드는 장면을 형상화하였고, 제5단락은 소거에서 베를 짜는 모습을 그렸으며, 제6단락은 결론 부분으로서 주제의식을 드러내었다. 이러한 단락에 전개된 일관된 표현방식으로 첫째, 한자를 지나치게 남발하였고, 둘째 중국의 역사적 인물의 행적을 소거와 억지로 연결시켰으며, 셋째 제2단락부터 제5단락까지 수사법과 이미지를 활용했다는 점을 말하였다. 「소거가」는 수사법과 이미지를 활용함으로써 작가의식이 발휘되었다. 그러나 한자를 지나치게 남발하고, 중국의 역사 인물의 행적을 소거와 억지로 연결시킴으로서 대중이 쉽게 수용할 수 없도록 하여 작가의식의 한계를 드러내었다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to investigate the representation and writer consciousness in 「Sogeoga」, the word by Yoon Hyo-Gwan. ‘Sogeo’ means a farming tool named Wangchae which was used to reel silk off a cocoon. The 「Sogeoga」 consists of a total of 1,367 characters with 95 lines and 189 phrases. This study investigated representation in the word and writer’s consciousness in it. It was assumed that Yoon Hyo-Gwan would know that in respect to poetry, Chinese poetry, three-verse Korean codes and words each had different purposes and accordingly, 「Sogeoga」 was created. It was concluded that he would also hope that the 「Sogeoga」 would be read or sung by those who were not men but women. It was known that 「Sogeoga」 was divided into a total of six paragraphs and the paragraphs were connected in an organic way; Paragraph 1 told a story on creation of sogeo; Paragraph 2 embodied the creation of sogeo; Paragraph 3 depicted reeling silk in front of Sogeo; Paragraph 4 described that raw cotton is raised to make a cocoon; Paragraph 5 depicted weaving cloth at a sogeo and paragraph 6 was a conclusion which showed a theme of the word. In respect to representation of the word, the followings were discovered; first, Chinese characters were overused; second, achievements of Chinese historical persons were forcibly connected with sogeo; third, rhetorics and images were used from Paragraph 2 to Paragraph 5. In 「Sogeoga」, rhetorics and images were used to show writer consciousness. However, as Chinese characters were overused and achievements of Chinese historical persons were forcibly connected with sogeo, it was difficult for the popular to easily accept the word. It shows that writer consciousness was limited.
