국문 초록

이 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 한국 중학교 2학년 수학 교과서와 CCSSM에 따른 미국 기하 교과서에서 제시한 삼각형의 외심과 내심의 정의와 증명에 관한 논증을 비교 분석하여 시사점을 도출하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 한국과 미국 교과서에서 제시한 삼각형의 외심과 내심에 관한 논증을 사고실험, 정의, 증명 단계에서의 구조적, 내용적, 수신자 지향적 차원으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 한국과 미국 교과서에서 제시하는 삼각형의 외심과 내심의 (1) 구조적 차원에서 정의의 위치 및 증명의자료(D), 보장(W), 결론(C)의 차이가, (2) 내용적 차원에서 정의와 증명의 보장(W)의 차이가, (3) 수신자 지향적 차원에서 사고실험 및 증명에서 사용하는 언어적 표현의 차이가 발견되었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 2022 개정 교육과정에 따른 수학 교과서 개발을 위한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze arguments regarding the definitions and proofs of the circumcenter and incenter of triangles as presented in Korean middle school 2nd-grade mathematics textbooks based on the 2015 revised curriculum and in American geometry textbooks aligned with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics(CCSSM). To achieve this goal, arguments related to the circumcenter and incenter of triangles presented in Korean and American textbooks were analyzed from structural, content, and recipient-orientation dimensions in the thought experiments, definitions, and proof stage. As a result of the study, there are differences in (1) the location of definition and proof of data(D), warrant(W), and claim(C) at the structural dimension, (2) the definition and proof of warrant(W) at the content dimension, and (3) linguistic presentation in the thought experiment and proof at the recipient-orientation dimension. The implications for the future textbook are discussed, providing insights into proof mathematics education.
