국문 초록

21세기 현재, 우주적 차원의 관계성과 얽힘, 지구 행성의 생물학적 시스템의 복잡성, 그리고 지구의 지속 가능성에 대한 예측 불가능성은 하나님의 신비와 신적 행위성에 대해 재고찰하게 하며 신학 담론의 재구성을 요청한다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 논문은 ‘다 알 수 없음’(not-knowing -it-all)을 강조하는 ‘아포파시스’(apophasis)의 신학적 사유를 검토하며 ‘카다파시스’(cataphasis)의 확실한 긍정의 서술 방식보다는 부정의 방식을 통해 적극적으로 하나님의 존재를 사유하는 생태신학, 생명신학의 신학적 토대를 구성하는 것이다. 중세의 부정신학, 류영모의 한국 신학, 캐서린 켈러의 과정신학 관점의 여성신학을 검토하며, 무한한 신적 행위성과 창조적 구원의 역동성을 이해하고, 지구 행성적 얽힘의 사회적 생태 안에서 하나님의 신비를 제한하지 않는 생태 지혜를 추구할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문은 15세기 쿠사의 니콜라스가 말한 ‘박학의 무지’(de docta ignorantia)의 인식이 어느 때보다도 필요한 21세기 상황에서, 모든 존재하는 것들의 바탕이 되는 하나님의 깊음, 신적 신비, 그리고 ‘다 알 수 없음’을 강조하며 ‘아포파시스’(apophasis)의 부정신학의 방식으로 하나님을 끊임없이 표현해 가는 생태신학의 비판적 틀을 제안한다. 하나님의 ‘다함이-없음’을 표현하며 ‘있음’보다는 있음을 드러나게 하는 ‘없음’에 주목하는 류영모의 생명신학, 중세의 부정신학, 그리고 얽힘의 관계성을 강조하는 켈러의 여성신학, 은유와 표상을 통해 고착화되고 개념화된 하나님의 이름을 교정하는 로즈마리 류터와 샐리 맥페이그의 생태여성신학을 통해 현재의 생명 파괴적 문명을 반성적으로 고찰하며 대안적 생태신학 담론을 구성하는 토대를 마련할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The study of the entanglements at the cosmic level, the complexity of the biological system of the planet Earth, and the unpredictability of the sustainability of the Earth make us reexamine the mystery of God and divine agency and call for a reconstruction of theological discourse. In this context, this paper examines the theology of ‘apophasis,’ which emphasizes ‘notknowing-it-all,’ and attempts to reconstruct the theological foundation of ecological theology that actively thinks about the existence of God through a negative method rather than a positive descriptive method. Thus, examining medieval negative theology, Ryu Youngmo’s Korean theology, and Catherine Keller’s feminist theology, it concretely explicates the infinite divine agency and dynamics of creative salvation, and does not limit the mystery of God. This paper thereby addresses divine mystery, divine agency of God, and the depth of God, which is the basis of all existing things, in the 21st-century context where recognition of ‘de docta ignorantia’ as mentioned by Nicholas of Cusa is needed more than ever. Thus, it proposes a critical framework of ecological theology that emphasizes ‘ineffability’ and constantly expresses God through the negative method of ‘apophasis.’ Focusing on medieval negative theology, this paper deals with Ryu Youngmo’s life theology that expresses God’s ‘non-existence,’ and Keller’s feminist theology that emphasizes radical relationship, and seeks to construct the critical frame of ecological theology in the 21st century, which corrects the name of God that has been fixed and conceptualized. It will be possible to reflectively examine the current life-destructive civilization and lay the foundation for an alternative ecological theological discourse.
