국문 초록

4차 산업혁명의 대표 기술이 돼버린 인공지능(AI : artificial intelligence) 기술이 빠르게 발전하고 보편화됨에 따라 수용자인 인간의 삶이 질적으로 증진할 것이라는 기대와 기술에 지배를 받는 삶이 될 거라는 우려의 목소리가 커지고 있다. 이러한 현상은 본 연구 분야인 디자인 창작의 분야에서도 나타나고 있어 AI 기술을 활용하는 디자인의 현황과 삶을 더 풍요롭게 해줄 기술 활용에 대해서 살펴볼 중요한 시점이라고 판단하였다. 본 논문은 문헌조사와 사례연구를 통해 AI 기술을 파악하고 생성형 AI가 디자인 개발에 부정적인 문제보다 긍정적 기여할 수 있는 가능성으로 협업 활용과 인간에게 필요한 기준에 대해서 논하였다. 그리고 생성형 AI 플랫폼인 미드저니(Midjourney)를 활용한 새로운 그래픽이미지 창작을 진행하였다. 연구의 주제인 AI와 디자인의 협업과 기술을 긍정적으로 활용하기 위한 기준으로 사용자 리터러시(User Literacy)의 개념과 개연성 도출을 위해서 인간 중심의 기획과 자료제공으로 디자인 제작 사례를 중심으로 AI와 협업하는 디자인 프로세스에서 인간이 주체가 되는 창작자로서의 의미와 활용에 대한 방향을 제안하였다. 본 연구를 토대로 하여 AI와 협업하는 디자인이 사용자와 공감하는 방향으로 나아가고 시대의 인프라를 활용하는 디자이너로 교육과 성장을 기대하며 효과적인 활용의 방향을 제안하는 것이 본 논문의 목적이다.

영문 초록

As artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which has become a representative technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, develops rapidly and becomes widespread, there are expectations that the lives of human recipients will improve in quality, and there are concerns that lives will be dominated by technology. It's getting bigger. Since this phenomenon is also appearing in the field of design creation, which is the field of this research, we decided that it was an important time to look at the current status of design using AI technology and the use of technology that will enrich life. This paper identified AI technology through literature review and case studies, and discussed the use of collaboration and the standards required for humans as a possibility that generative AI can contribute positively rather than negatively to design development. We also created new graphic images using Midjourney, a generative AI platform. In order to derive the concept and probability of user literacy as a standard for positive use of collaboration and technology between AI and design, which is the subject of research, we collaborate with AI focusing on design production cases through human-centered planning and data provision. We proposed a direction for the meaning and use of humans as creators in the design process. Based on this study, the purpose of this paper is to suggest a direction for effective use in which design that collaborates with AI moves in a direction that empathizes with users and expects education and growth as a designer who utilizes the infrastructure of the times.
