국문 초록

본 논문은 TOE 프레임워크를 기반으로 디지털 기술을 활용한 클래식 음악의 온라인 공연에 대한 가능 성을 알아본 것이다. 온라인 공연의 기술적, 조직적, 환경적 의미에 대한 연구문제를 제안하였다. 연구문제를 해결하기 위해 클래식 음악 및 공연 예술계, 온라인 콘텐츠 관련 전문가에게 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 인터뷰 문항은 TOE Framework의 3가지 요인인 기술적인 측면, 조직적인 측면, 환경적인 측면으로 나누어서 클래식 음악의 대중화 방안과 온라인 공연의 활성화에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 전문가 인터뷰 결과 몇 가지로 정리가 되었다. 첫째, 비대면 상황에서 도입된 온라인 공연은 대면 공연에 비해 ‘현장감’이 미비하기 때문에 클래식 음악의 완성도와 본연의 가치를 유지하면서 새로운 기술을 활용한 새로운 접근이 필요하다. 두 번째, 공연 예술계의 고질적인 문제인 비용과 투자에 대한 문제이다. 온라인 공연이라는 새로운 플랫폼이 만들어질 때 기술 개발 및 구현에 있어서 투자적인 부분에서 초기 비용이 들기 때문에 지자체와 정부, 그리고 기업에서의 지원이 필요하다. 세 번째, 온라인 공연만의 장점을 극대화한다면 자연스럽게 온라인 공연을 찾 는 사람이 많아질 것이다. 아직 국내에서 클래식 음악의 온라인 공연은 이제 도입단계이며 현장감이나 공연 기법 등의 개선이 이루어지면 대면 공연과 온라인 공연이 공존하며 클래식 음악 활성화에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This paper investigates the possibility of online performances of classical music using digital technology based on the TOE framework. Research questions on the technical, organizational, and environmental implications of online performances were proposed. To solve the research problem, we conducted interviews with experts in classical music and performing arts and online contents. The interview questions were divided into technical aspects, organizational aspects, and environmental aspects, which are the three factors of the TOE Framework, in an attempt to derive implications for the popularization of classical music and the revitalization of online performances. The results of the expert interviews were summarized in several points. First, since online performances introduced in a non-face-to-face situation lack ‘realism’ compared to face-to-face performances, a new approach using new technology is needed while maintaining the perfection of classical music and its intrinsic value. Second, it is a problem of cost and investment, which is a chronic problem in the performing arts world. When a new platform called online performance is created, support from local governments, governments, and companies is needed because there is an initial cost in terms of investment in technology development and implementation. Third, if the advantages of online performances are maximized, more people will naturally seek online performances. Online performance of classical music in Korea is still in its introductory stage, and if realism and performance techniques are improved, face-to-face and online performances will coexist, contributing to the revitalization of classical music.
