가정에서의 자기결정 교수 지원 프로그램개발을 위한 기초연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 가정에서의 자기결정 교수 지원 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초연구로서 장애학생의 자기결정에 대한 부모와 교사의 인식 및 경험, 지원요구를 조사하였다. 이를 위해 장애학생 및 성인 부모 총 19명과 초․중․고등학교 특수교사 총 14명이 연구에 참여하였으며 부모와는 개별면담을 실시하였고 교사들과는 각 학교급별로 포커스그룹 면담을 진행하였다. 모든 면담은 전사한 후 지속적 비교법을 사용하여 분석하였으며 분석결과 다음과 같이 7개의 대주제가 도출되었다: 1) 자기결정에 대한 인식 및 이해, 2) 장애학생의 자기결정의 실제, 3) 자기결정 관련 영향요인, 4) 자기결정 증진을 위한 지도, 5) 자기결정 지도의 어려움, 6) 자기결정 지도관련 지원요구, 7) 가정에서의 자기결정 교수 지원 프로그램 구성 및 내용 관련 요구. 도출된 대주제 및 하위주제를 바탕으로 가정에서의 자기결정 교수 지원을 위해 다음과 같은 제언이 제시되었다: 1) 부모와 교사의 자기결정 지도역량 강화를 위한 연수 및 교수 지원 프로그램 개발, 2) 자기결정 영향요인을 고려한 중재 프로그램 개발, 3) 가정과 학교에서의 자기결정 지도를 위한 효과적 교수방법 적용.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate perceptions, experiences, and support needs of parents and teachers regarding self-determination of students with disabilities as a basic study to develope a support program for instruction of self-determination at home. For this study, individual interviews were conducted with 19 parents of students and youth with disabilities, and focus group interviews were conducted with 14 special education teachers who are working at elementary, middle, and high schools. All collected data were analyzed using a constant comparative method. Based on the qualitative analysis, seven themes emerged as follows: (a) perceptions and awareness of self-determination, (b) practices of self-determination in students with disabilities, (c) influential factors related to self-determination, (d) instruction to promote self-determination, (e) difficulties in teaching self-determination, (f) support needs for teaching self-determination, and (g) needs regarding the content and format of support programs for instruction of self-determination at home. Based on the findings, several implications were provided to support promoting self-determination of students with disabilities at home such as (a) development of in-service and support programs to enhance parent and teacher capacities for promoting self-determination, (b) development of intervention programs considering influential factors related to self-determination, and (c) application of effective instruction for teaching self-determination at home and schools.
