국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 국내 대학의 국어국문학과 전공 수업에서 외국인 유학생들과 한국인 학생들의 상이한 요구도와 수준을 고려하면서도 양측의 만족도를 모두 고양시킬 것을 목적으로 수행된 실행 연구이다. 대내외 환경의 변화로 인해 국내 대학의 국어국문학과에 외국인 유학생의 비중이 상당히 높은 상황에서 교수자들은 서로 매우 다른 수준의 이해도와 요구도를 가지고 있는 학습자들을 모두 만족시켜야 하는 도전에 직면해 있다. 방법: 한 학기 동안의 순환적 과정을 포함하는 실행 연구를 설계하고 직접 수행하는 과정을 통하여 이러한 어려움을 극복할 수 있을지 탐색해 보았다. 핵심 아이디어로는 핵심어 풀이 과제를 채택하였으며 실행 단계별 내용을 질적으로 기술하였고 실행 결과에 대한 양적인 분석을 아울러 실시하였다. 결과: 과제와 시험 결과의 상관도는 외국인 학생의 경우에 더 높게 나타났으며 학생들의 만족도는 내외국인 모두 매우 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 결론: 이 실행 연구를 통해 수업의 질적인 수준을 떨어뜨리지 않고 공정한 평가 기준을 적용하면서도 학생들의 만족도를 전반적으로 충족시킬 수 있었다. 본 연구는 유사한 상황에 놓여 있는 동료 교수자들에게 참고가 될 수 있다는 점에서 교수학적 의의를 가진다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This is an action research that takes into consideration the varying needs and levels of satisfaction of both foreign students and national students in the Korean Language and Literature major at domestic universities. Due to changes in the internal and external environment, professors in the field of Korean Language and Literature in domestic universities face the challenge of satisfying learners with very different levels of understanding and demands. Methods: We designed and implemented an action research, including a cyclic process over one semester, to explore whether these difficulties could be overcome. The key idea was to adopt keyword meaning description tasks and qualitatively describe the content of each execution stage, as well as conducting quantitative analysis of the results. Results: The correlation between assignments and exam results was higher for foreign students, and the satisfaction levels of both domestic and foreign students were very high. Conclusion: Through this applied research, we were able to meet the overall satisfaction of students while maintaining the qualitative level of the classes and applying fair evaluation criteria. This study holds pedagogical significance for fellow professors facing similar situations, as it can serve as a reference.
