초등학생을 위한 전통생활문화중심 향토문화유산 수업 자료 개발

국문 초록

이 연구는 지역 향토문화유산의 교육적 가치를 보존하고 계승하기 위하여 전통생활문화를 중 심으로 초등학생 대상 향토문화유산 수업 자료를 개발하고자 실시하였다. 수업자료 개발 절차 는 프로그램 개발모형을 토대로 준비 단계, 개발 단계, 개선 단계로 진행하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 수업자료는 전남 화순지역 내평마을 향토문화유산인 목화와 길쌈놀이를 중심으 로 개발하였다. 전통생활문화 영역 중 실과와 관련성이 높은 의생활, 식생활, 주생활, 세시풍 속, 전통놀이, 기타생활 영역에서 핵심 내용 8가지를 추출한 후 저학년과 고학년 각각 8주제 씩 총 16가지 주제를 선정하였다. 핵심 내용(전통생활문화영역)은 농사, 농업유산의 중요성(기 타생활, 식생활), 길쌈의 의미와 과정(의생활), 우리의 세시풍속(세시풍속, 전통놀이), 목화의 성 장과 키우기(전통놀이, 의생활), 지속가능한 의생활과 진로(의생활), 목화솜, 면직물로 용품 만 들기(기타생활, 의생활), 노동요의 의미와 길쌈노래(전통놀이, 기타생활), 마을 자연물 악기와 연주하기(전통놀이, 기타생활)이었다. 전통생활문화영역 중 의생활, 전통놀이, 기타 생활에 해 당하는 부분이 많았다. 주제에 따라 초등 교과별 교육과정을 분석한 결과 저학년은 통합교과, 사회교과와 관련이 있었고, 고학년은 실과, 사회, 과학, 음악교과와 관련이 있었다. 수업자료는 16가지 주제에 대하여 각각 교수학습 과정안, 파워 포인트 자료, 활동지, 교구를 개발하였다. 교수학습 과정안은 학습 주제와 초등학교 교과 관련 단원, 2015개정 교육과정 성취기준, 학습 목표, 활동 내용을 제시하였다. 개발된 파워 포인트 자료는 16종으로 각각 15~34장이었고, 활 동지는 13종, 교구는 10점이었다. 수업 내용은 체험을 중심으로 하였고, 놀이, 만들기, 사진,동영상, 동화책, 그림 자료 등을 활용하였다. 저학년은 유아에게, 고학년은 중학생까지 확장하 여 진로 탐색에 활용할 수 있도록 하였고, 마을 분들이 참여할 수 있도록 하여 농촌 마을 소 득에 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 개발된 수업 자료는 교과수업, 창의적 체험활동, 지역에서 농 경문화 체험교육 등에서 활용이 가능하다. 앞으로 향토문화유산의 교육적인 내용을 담은 지속 적인 컨텐츠 개발이 필요하며, 농경문화유산의 보존뿐만 아니라 지속가능교육, 환경교육 등에 도 효과가 있을 것으로 기대되며 이를 초등학생에게 적용하여 효과를 분석하는 연구가 필요 하다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to develop experiential educational content for elementary school students, focusing on traditional aspects of life culture. The primary goal was to preserve and pass on the educational value associated with cotton cultivation and weaving, considered valuable elements of local cultural heritage. Leveraging cotton cultivation and weaving as the central themes, eight core content areas were identified from six broader categories within traditional life and culture. These areas encompassed clothing, food, daily living, seasonal customs, traditional games, and other aspects of life. In total, 16 topics were selected. The core content areas covered a range of topics, including farming practices, the importance of agricultural heritage, the weaving process and its meaning, local seasonal customs, the growth and cultivation of cotton, sustainable clothing practices and livelihoods, crafting items from cotton and cotton fabric, the cultural importance of labor and weaving songs, and engaging with natural village instruments in traditional play. Within the domain of traditional life and culture, there were many parts that corresponded to clothing, traditional games, and other facets of life. The curriculum analysis revealed that the lower grades aligned with integrated subjects and social studies, while the upper grades were related to practical arts, social studies, science, and music subjects. Teaching and learning materials were developed for each of the 16 topics, including lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, activity sheets, and teaching aids. These teaching-learning course plans outlined the learning objectives, elementary school subject-related units, alignment with the 2015 revised curriculum’s achievement standards, and learning goals. A total of 16 PowerPoint presentations, each containing 15 to 34 chapters, along with 13 types of activity sheets and ten teaching aids, were created. The content was designed to be experiential, incorporating various games, making activities, photos, videos, children's books, and drawing materials. The educational materials can be adapted for younger students in lower grades and extended to middle school students in upper grades for career exploration. Furthermore, these materials hold the potential to generate income in rural communities by involving local residents. These developed experiential education materials are expected to serve as a means to preserve agricultural and cultural heritage and as a valuable resource for sustainable and environmental education.
