박동실제 <심청가>의 構造(格)와 情趣(趣)

이 글은 박유전의 소리제로 전해지는 박동실제 <심청가>를 대상으로, 이 소리제의 音樂美的 특징을 이루는 구조와 정취적 요소를 분석해 본 글이다. 분석틀은 구조와 정취(악보로 기보할 수 있는 것과 없는 것)로 나누었고, 구조적인 면으로는 계면조 비율, 반드름조(우조와 계면조가 섞인 조), 장단구성, 붙임새를, 정취적인 면으로는 요성과 발성기교, 한배를 살펴보았다. 박동실제 <심청가>는 구조와 정취에서 다른 制와는 구별되는데, 구조적인 면에서는 전체적으로 계면조 비중이 압도적으로 높고, 다른 制에서 평조나 우조로 부르는 대목을 계면조와 섞어서 반드름조로 부르며, 비교적 느린 장단구성에 대마디대장단보다는 완자걸이나 잉어걸이, 교대죽과 같은 엇붙임을 많이 사용한다. 그리고 정취적인 면에서는 요성을 하는 음과 그 방법이 평조나 계면조에서의 보편적인 현상을 벗어나는 경우가 있고, 발성기교에서도 소리를 눌러서 밀어내는 방법과 쥐어짜는 ‘짜는목’을 쓰며, 특별히 글자 한 자를 가지고 엑센트를 주며 여러 음을 만들어내는 ‘각구목질’ 기교를 쓴다. 박동실제 <심청가>의 이러한 구조적, 정취적 특성은 박유전제의 또 다른 계보인 정응민제 <심청가>에서는 드물거나 보기 힘든 요소들이다.

영문 초록

This is a study of finding structural and emotional characteristics about Pakdongsil school's P'ansori Simchungga. Analysis carried on mainly two separate categories. The first category will be the structural characteristic contents(things can be noted on a score) and the second category will be the emotional characteristic contents(things cannot be noted on a score). In former category, the rate of the Kyemyŏnjo and Bandŭrŭm modes, Jangdan structure and Buchimsae(Rhythmic pattern) will be the subject to be analysed, and in the latter category, Yosŏng, vocalization skill and melodic speed will be the subject. As a result of the analysis, the fact that Pakdongsil school's P'ansori Simchungga was different from the other school's Simchungga in both structural and emotional characteristics was revealed. At first, as a structural characteristic of Pakdongsil school's Simchungga, songs in Kyemyŏnjo mode are overwhelmingly a lot throughout the Simchungga and songs in P'yŏngjo and Ujo in other school's Simchungga were sung by Bandŭrŭm in Pak's Simchungga. Secondly, as a characteristic in rhythmic pattern, relatively slow Jangdan was used and ut'buchim(엇부침) Jangdan such as Wanjagŏli(완자걸이), Ingŏgŏli(잉어걸이) and Kyodaejuk(교대죽) was used very often. As an emotional characteristic, the use of Yosŏng was different from the general use of Yosŏng. And also unique vocalization skills like 'press and push vocalization', 'squeeze vocalization' and 'Kakumokjil(각구목질)' were often used. These particular structural and emotional characteristics found in Pakdongsil school's Simchungga are hardly found in the other school's Simchungga.
