국문 초록

베네딕토 16세 교황은 『Missale Romanum』의 적용으로부터 교회가 일치를 이루지 못하는 상황에서 ‘일반 양식(Forma Ordinaria)’과 ‘특별 양식(Forma Extraordinaria)’으로 구분하여, 이 두 양식이 『Missale Romanum』의 단일하고 동일한 예식에 대한 두 가지 표현 방식이라고 규정하였다. 곧 교황은 교회의 일치를 위해선 교회의 ‘Lex Orandi’는 교회의 ‘Lex Credendi’ 에 일치해야 함을 적용하기 위해 이 ‘Lex Orandi’를 규정한 것이다. 하지만프란치스코 교황은 교회의 ‘Lex Orandi’를 새로이 규정하였다. 신자들의 실제 상황으로 ‘Lex Orandi’는 바뀔 수 있지만 ‘Lex Credendi’에 조화를 이루고 일치되어야 한다. ‘Lex Orandi’는 ‘Lex Credendi’에 일치를 이루지 못하면 개정될 수 있다. 과연 베네딕토 16세 교황이 ‘Lex Orandi’를 개정하면서까지 수호하고자 한 교회 일치는 어떤 모습이었을까? ‘Lex Credendi’와 ‘Lex Orandi’의 관계 안에서 일치의 성사인 교회가 가시적으로 드러나는데 있어 주교의 ‘의로운’ 역할은 중요한 위치에 있다. 곧 주교는 주님의은총이 교회를 통해 잘 드러날 수 있도록 의로움의 역할을 해야 한다. 베네딕토 16세 교황이 바란 교회 일치의 모습은 의로운 역할을 하는 주교들의 단체성의 정신(collegialitas affectiva), 일치의 관계에서 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

When the Church had controversies on the use of 『Missale Romanum』, Pope Benedict XVI has differentiated between the ‘Forma Ordinaria’ and the ‘Forma Extraordinaria’ as two different expressions but regulated that they identify the same rite of 『Missale Romanum』. In other words, for the sake of unity in the Church, he defined ‘Lex Orandi’ so that it is identical to ‘Lex Credendi’. However, Pope Francis has newly defined ‘Lex Orandi’ of the Church. The ‘Lex Orandi’ may be changed by the actual situations of the faithful, but it must be harmonized and conformed to ‘Lex Credendi’. ‘Lex Orandi’ could be revised if it is not in accordance with the ‘Lex Credendi’. How did Pope Benedict XVI describe the unity of the Church as he attempted to preserve it by revising ‘Lex Orandi’? Within the relationship between ‘Lex Credendi’ and ‘Lex Orandi’, a bishop’s ‘righteous’ role is crucial to the visible manifestation of the Church as a sacrament of unity; a bishop should serve as a model of righteousness to reveal the grace of the Lord through the Church. Pope Benedict XVI envisioned the unity of the Church, found in the ‘collegialitas affectiva’ and the unity of the bishops in their righteous role.
