국문 초록

본 연구는 신약성경의 루카복음서에서 전하고 있는 엠마오 이야기(루카24,13-35)와 사도행전의 에티오피아 내시의 세례 이야기(사도 8,26-40)를 나란히 비교, 대조, 분석함으로써 두 이야기 안에서 드러나는 신학 사상을이해하고, 이를 통해서 초대 그리스도교 공동체의 주요 메시지를 파악하는것을 목표로 한다. 엠마오 이야기(루카 24,13-35)와 에티오피아 내시의 세례 이야기(사도8,26-40)는 구조, 어휘, 주제, 내용 면에서 서로 매우 밀접한 관련이 있음을보여 준다. 이는 신학 사상에 있어서도 이 두 이야기가 서로 연관성이 있음을 시사한다. 두 이야기는 공통적으로 교차대칭구조이며, 이를 통해 강조되는 핵심은, “그분(예수)께서 살아 계시다”(루카 24,23ㄴ)와 “예수에 관한 복음”(사도 8,35)이다. 또한 전개 과정의 측면에서 두 이야기는 공통점을 드러내며, 부활하신 예수를 인식하기 위해서, 두 이야기 안에서 발견되는 예수 사건과 성경이라는 공통적인 요소와, 성찬례와 세례라는 각기 구별되는 두 요소들도 확인하였다. 더욱이 두 이야기는 “지리적 관심, 계시적 주제, 그리스도론적 주제, 성사적 주제, 환대와 선교” 등과 같은 공통적주제들을 잘 보여 준다. 루카 24,13-35과 사도 8,26-40 이야기는 초대 교회 공동체의 그리스도인들에게 부활하신 예수께 대한 인식과 그분의 지속적인 현존을 계속 이어가기 위한 기초를 제공했으리라 생각해 볼 수 있다. 두 이야기를 바탕으로, 우리는 초대 교회 그리스도인들의 신앙 생활에 있어서 성경에 대한 이해, 성찬례와 세례의 중요성과 또한 이들 간의 긴밀한 연관성을 유추해볼수 있다.

영문 초록

By comparing, contrasting and analyzing the story of Emmaus(Lk 24,13-35) in the Gospel of Luke and the story of the Ethiopian eunuch’s Baptism(Acts 8,26-40) in the Acts of Apostles, this study seeks to understand theological ideas of these two stories. In so doing, this work attempts to grasp critical messages of the early Christian community. This study seeks to address that these two stories – Emmaus(Lk 24,13-35) and the Ethiopian eunuch’s baptism(Acts 8,26-40) – have a close relationship on its structures, vocabularies, themes and contents. This indicates that these two stories are closely related to each other in its theological thoughts. By using a chiastic structure, these two stories emphasize the following messages: “He(Jesus) is alive”(Lk 24,23b) and “the good news about Jesus”(Acts 8,35). Furthermore, these two stories similarly develop its storyline. In order to recognize the risen Jesus, these stories have common elements of Jesus’ event and the Bible(Scriptures) and distinct elements of the Eucharist and Baptism. Moreover, these two stories remarkably describe the following common themes: “geographical interest, revelatory theme, christological theme, sacramental theme, hospitality and mission”. Therefore, this work carefully concludes that the story of Lk 24,13-35 and of Acts 8,26-40 potentially led the early Christians to recognize the risen Jesus and His ongoing presence among them. Concluding, this work on these two stories can provide further studies on how the early Christians understood the Bible and the importance of the Eucharist and Baptism in the early Christians’ life, and the close relationship between these two points.
