『고등소학독본』과 『국민소학독본』의 고유명사 표기 대응과 저본과의 관련성

국문 초록

本稿は『国民小学読本』とその底本と言われる『高等小学読本』とのパラレルコーパスを構築し、固有名詞に付加されたカッコや表記の対応の様子を底本の有無と関連づけて考察したものである。まずは『高等小学読本』と『国民小学読本』との固有名詞の表記の対応にあたって、漢字表記をハングル表記に変えた例が見られ、普通名詞までに範囲を広げて調べると他の資料より『国民小学読本』において特に顕著であった。これは教科書やハングルの認識が投影された結果であると判断した。 次には『国民小学読本』のカッコにおいては固有名詞につけた例と注釈につけた例があり、前者は『高等小学読本』を底本とされている単元に、後者はに底本が不明であるとされている単元に使われている。この傾向は外国の国名や地名にも同様な現象が見られる。アメリカを表す｢美、阿｣と｢米、亜｣、ニューヨークを表す｢紐約｣と｢紐育｣、パリを表す｢巴里｣と｢巴黎｣、ロシアを表す｢魯西亞｣と｢露西亞｣がそれである。これらの現象は単純な表記のゆれととらえるよりは、おそらく教科書の執筆者が二人以上であることを表す一つの証拠として考えるほうが合理的ではないかと推測できる。

영문 초록

This study constructs a parallel corpus with Gukminsohakdokbon and Kotoshogakudokuhon and, examines the corresponding structures of notations (bracketed) of proper nouns in relation to the original scripts. First, there are examples where translation was made by changing Chinese characters into Hangeul characters in notational correspondence, which is thought of as a reflection of the textbook or Hangeul recognition. Second, there are examples in Kotoshogakudokuhon where brackets were used for proper nouns and annotations. Whereas the former is used in units applying Kotoshogakudokuhon as the original script, the latter is used in units where the original script is unknown or missing. This pattern is also evident in the differences between the Chinese character notations of proper nouns such as ‘United States’, ‘New York’, ‘Paris’, and ‘Russia’. These structures support the idea that there are at least two authors of the textbook.
